Well, I can tell you two are a couple of Bayjumpers. And that you have the attention span of a fruit fly. The light at the end of this tunnel is that after this summer we will NEVER see the names Michael Bay and Transformers associated again. So you two can get wet with your Bay slomos all you want, but the ride just about over.

You keep believing that. But someone who suits your opinion less than Bay will step up and make the next TF movie and "rape" your childhood even harder! And I will sit back and laugh at your pain, agony, and suffering.

Whoa, you sick SOB. They are just toys. Another movie to me is as worrisome as a cloudy day, son. I could give two craps about how you two like the movies, but to say it is superior than being there, in the 80's, before hollywood destroyed the movie. Just lame........
And don't worry about me....I surely won't be crying in the fetal position about any toy, movie, etc as they are just forms of entertaiment. How old are you guys? Are you even allowed to be up this late?

Aren't the '80s when they killed off Optimus Prime to replace him with...ugh, Rodimus Prime? Then go on to make Season 3, which was so awful it more-or-less left Transformers fiction for dead until Beast Wars in '96?

Holy mother. Best comment ever. This 100%. At least; at freaking least, the live action movies don't kill off the major characters to make room for annoying characters with even worse toys. Let's see, Optimus is still around (after being dead for a short while), Bumblebee is still alive, Ironhide, Ratchet, Megatron, Starscream; all still here. But I admit, they do make new toys every movie. At least they don't kill them off halfway through the series.

They do kill off a lot of characters en mass, but at least they don't spend the better part of two years making you love them, then killing them off in spectacularly undignified ways (Brawn, Prowl, Ironhide and Ratchet all last how long, exactly?) to sell you new characters. I mean, sure, I could get used to Springer or Kup or Arcee, but Rodimus Prime, Wheelie and Daniel? No thank you, movie.

Bumblebee never died in the actual movie. He did in the series, only to be revived as Goldbug, but, yeah, SlyTF1's got the right idea.

still on the troll hunting !

i agree the movie is flawed, and the series itself was, the disappearing trailer, the size shifting (thank you bay/writers/producers/whoever for abandonign it) but do you see the irony that the current movie verse fans view the movies with the same bias as g one fans. In time the criticisms myself and others make of the movies will be accepted as people get distance from the movies and there will still be the die hards with their rose tinted specs.

I am not even going to get into knocking the new flicks as I could create a list that would eat up a whole thread. The real fans out there know which is better. You all are just Bayjumpers, meaning you jumped on the Baywagon as soon as your mommy took you to the film. But, you'll all be weeded out soon enough as the dark days of Michael Bay have finally come to an end.

Brawn, Prowl, Ironhide, and Ratchet were already well established characters in G1, so they needed no long drawn out death scene for themselves. The 86' movie brought home some real world realities to our lives, that even the greatest heroes can die easy. And that noone can escape death, not even the Transformers. Now, I know you pussies in todays world cannot handle such trauma so moviemakers try not to hurt your fragile minds with their storytelling. Besides, that would hurt sales and they want to appeal to everyone.

I only have two names to drop to where anyone would agree the new movies are crap compared to G1.

As far as the Bayformers go, I welcome the wholesale slaughter of each and every one of them. Thankfully, after this piece of slag comes out in July, we will finally be free of Michael Bay's cancerous presence in the mythos of the Transformers.

Why even post this? It is antagonistic at best. You *know* the response you will get. Some people like the Bay movies, others don't. Why is it so hard for people to just accept that? You seem to be trying to push some buttons here.

If I hated the movie I would probably not spend much time in the movies section of the forums.

And then you claim "Bayjumper" and slinging insults when the 100% predictable response comes out. This is trolling for a reaction.

Yeah, and there is a big differnce too. The cartoon movie was a cartoon!! It had a miniscule budget. Michael Bay has all the money in the world to make a good flick. Rather he and his cronies decided that product endorsement and explosions were more important....and Megan fox's tits of course. Lame......but to you kids today it is all you can handle. Your attention spans are measured in microseconds. Gee, I can't wait until you all are running this country......

I just don't see how you're more of a 'real fan' then anyone else.

You can hate Mudflap and Skids all you want, that's your issue. Personally I don't like 'Danno' or his awfull sidekick Wheelie (HEADMASTERS ARGH), and I love G1. That doesn't make a 'real fan' or a 'bayjumper' (where did that come from anyway?). Would you also insult people for liking foods you don't?

Though I guess 'picklejumper' would be hilarious in any conversation.

Let's count the deaths: Scorponok, Frenzy, Blackout, Bonecrusher, Jazz, Megatron, Sideways, Rampage, Alice, Blackout again (I'll call him Grindor when he stops being Blackout), Optimus, Arcee, Elite One, Chromia, Ravage, Jetfire, and the Fallen (Technically). 18 deaths, all on-screen, all particularly brutal. At least half of them are killed by being torn apart, and most of those are shown in slow-motion, so you get all the robo-gore.

Not sure I would call the '86 movie budget miniscule...they pulled in a lot of big names for the cast. But, you are correct that Bay has a ton of money and, in comparison, the '86 budget was miniscule (even with inflation thrown in).

Wow...your hasty generalizations and whole-sale appeal to insult/emotion weaken your stance considerably. I have not stated my opinions regarding the movie, but before you attack me I was 33 when the first movie came out. I drove myself.

And my attention span was enough to get me a PhD.

You can't toss out insane, emotionally-driven generalizations like an octogenarian that forgot his ovaltine and expect to be taken seriously.

"Can't wait till [you stupid kids who won't get off my lawn] are running this country"....seriously?

Why do conversations about the movie always feel like arguments regarding religious canon? There is a reason I left religion behind.

As did mine. Well, the whole family went when we saw the first movie. Then I saw ROTF midnight premier with my dad, then went with my mom and sister on my birthday (which was 4 days after ROTF came out); and I plan on doing that with DOTM.

I have a similar story. I caught the midnight premiere with my dad, then went to see it with my brother, and then with my mom. It was fun watching it like 3 times but it got boring at view #3.

Such things are easily filtered out by rose tinted goggles.

still on the troll hunting !

i agree the movie is flawed, and the series itself was, the disappearing trailer, the size shifting (thank you bay/writers/producers/whoever for abandonign it) but do you see the irony that the current movie verse fans view the movies with the same bias as g one fans. In time the criticisms myself and others make of the movies will be accepted as people get distance from the movies and there will still be the die hards with their rose tinted specs.

Gee, I can't wait until you all are running this country......

your scattershot approach isnt effective mate, a good teroll at least recognises those who share their opinions

Let's seeeee....

Back on topic.

Characters who I wish were'nt killed off:

Blackout- He was just so awesome in his opening scene, especially when he fights against the military. I wanted to see more of Decepticon/military fights, not Megan Fox's boobs and overrated body.

Barracade-? I don't know if he's dead, but he's so oozing with sexy that even just his name has that tall, dark and dangerous vibe to it. Ooooh, is that boy luscious! :CON:

Ravage- This is one TF animal I thought was awesome, and I hated when this cat was killed off. I hope in a way he gets brought back, but not if he's going to get killed off...

I always assumed Blackout was in ROTF, my evidence of this being when the restored Megs and CO were rising to the surface, the Naval Officer stated that there were now six targets. When a member was killed off for their parts, so with Megs back taking the numeric place of the other Decepticon, who was the extra?. It couldn't of been the Doctor I thought he would've regrouped with Ravage.

While Grindor is considered a separate character, the fact that he's completely identical to Blackout makes me consider them the same character.
