Honestly, I think it's just because they based it off Movie Frenzy and didn't figure just painting the eyes was worth it.

Basically, this is like a version of MTMTE Chomedome in a world where this is his typical body. After all, MTMTE Chromedome doesn't have Stylor as a partner, yet here Stylor is.SW's SilverHammer wrote:Looks i'ght. Think of it like how the Wings Universe is to the G1 cartoon, in which the two worlds are essentially the same except one world uses different bodies from the proper world that it's imitating.

Doesn't mater, It's supposed to be MTME chromedome, much like how Wings Scourge was Scourge proper (Till generations scourge) despite what the club fiction said, and I mean that as toy representations of a character. I don't have a problem with what the club does, they just need to call a spade a spade and say, this figure is character X/we chose this mold because insert here/we really wanted to make this character X mold. The explanation of this character looks like this because they're the alternate universe version of alternate universe insert here's character, it's unnecessarily convoluted, and handwavey and works with only a few figures/characters.

Send them a message on their website explaining your situation and you should hopefully hear back from them tomorrow (as it's currently after business hours right now).Thalack wrote:Anyone know how good TFCC is about replacing accessories that didn't come with a figure? Got Fisitron and no gun.
I recently ordered something from them myself, and was accidentally sent the wrong item. I sent them a message and they instructed me to send it back to them so they could replace it for me, and will also send me a check reimbursing me for the cost of shipping the wrong item back to them.

That's my thinking too; this is the Classics/Timelines re-imagining of movie Barricade & Frenzy in a Prime body, so the matte grey plastic with minimal painted details made some sense. But hey, at least we got the Decepticon symbol silver tampo! That was a nice touch.

My Protoform X/Rampage arrived with one of the head spikes broken off. I sent the Club some pictures on Thursday, they sent an email confirmation they would send me a new head the next day, and got the actual USPS shipping notification today.
Also, last year, my Subscription Service Scourge came with 2 left arms. They sent me a replacement part no problem. I know people have their horror stories, but my Club experiences have been fairly positive.

I like Code, but he's more old school; I would display him with more throwback-styled bots. I think this Chromedome is super nice, and will definitely display him with his fellow IDW characters.

Ha!
Only problem is, if they included an IDW Prowl, they would also have to include an IDW table for that IDW Prowl to flip.

Think of it like how the Wings Universe is to the G1 cartoon, in which the two worlds are essentially the same except one world uses different bodies from the proper world that it's imitating.
What he said, or to over-simplify it:
This is the closest we're getting to a Neo-Classics/IDW Chromedome, and the Club made up some goofy backstory to go with it, but it's ultimatley your figure so stuff wherever it makes you happiest.
So, the $64 question is...
Which Rewind do you pose this Chromedome with? Sure, he's getting a TFSS Rewind, with a camera head, but that's a lot of guns for an archivist. Or, we have the FOC Diskbot Rewind, who's really small, but possibly more faithful to the character...

A)TFCC doesn't do new molds.
B)The head is a new mold.
C)Whether or not something is a retool or a new mold doesn't affect the quality of it as a representation of a character.

1. repaint = repaint
2. new head, point. still repaint
3. retool... hmm too expensive for been that
I remember repaints were amazing, like seekers, or bluestreak, silverstreak, nemesis prime, comic color dinobots, and lot more that I love... I wish its own mold for such important character as is chromedome.
and I didn't say I don't like, I love it... but $89.95 (tfsource.com or bigbadtoystore.com) the original mold on wheeljack was about $20.00
