All of those reviewers are comparing him to a 3rd party Devy and that is honestly unfair. He is no 3rd party masterpiece, but he is a quarter of the price and designed for people with smaller budgets and with kids. Give this guy his dues: He is pretty well engineered in combined mode and for the individuals too
I think it is fair to point out flaws, the quality of the plastic is important for such a huge figure, as baltmatrix found out - to his dismay. If it is brittle or possibly going to break it's their job to warn us of these things. Visually, he is devestator, there is no 3p that beats it at that. I personally haven't seen any reviewers compare him to a 3p product, they just talk about how g1 he is, and how he has no articulation.
At the same time, the big reason I am bugged is because they are not giving enough credit to engineering on an affordable scale. 3rd party companies spoil those who make reviews cause they can afford it, and because they have all these guys they really look down on a hastak product as inferior, which as it may be true, it is shooting for something and people very different in audience. every reviewer i have watched has also reviewed a 3rd party version and grades hastak stuff as such against it
While that is true, I think the plastic/engineering quality is something to be concerned about/interested in. Balts' scrappers' bucket arm snapped, and from what I've seen of everyone else, the plastic does seem super thin and brittle; now I realize that this yields a figure that is cheaper, and abnormally light and can thus hold many poses quite well, but what happens when it starts cracking from stress, or tight hinges? I've already seen that the ankle pivots are prone to breaking, scrappers bucket arm can break easily, and the shoulder joints seem to be prone to suffering from high amounts of stress.
I would take Baltmatrix reviews with a grain of salt. He's the only reviewer I've seen who consistently breaks his figures. The guy is seriously ham-fisted.
Not to say it's not something to look out for; just that I would watch other reviewers too to get a wider sense of peoples' experiences with the set.
I do, they were all taken from different reviews of the figures, and from what I've seen it seems to be well within the realm of possibility that this could happen quite easily
