Honestly, if they have to keep releasing the same characters, I'd prefer this. I like the idea of modernizing existing designs, allowing the brand to grow and do new things while still banking on nostalgia.
That's what the Cyberverse designs and show are all about.
Wasn't that the original goal of the Classics line? Modernizing old characters and designs?
If the new trilogy stuff didn't exist I'd have happily added some Cyberverse toys into my collection.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.

THis.
It's redundancy. A second, all-different line would probably result in increased sales. I wonder how many Cyberverse sales were lost to WFC and vice versa for this exact reason...

Guys, relax, it's a toy for preschoolers; they're not gonna care about continuity like grown fans. Heck, they're far more likely to play out this exact same scenario, plus throw some LEGO and Transformers in for good measure, plus a plushie for a Kaiju.
(though I will admit, the random "Go Go Power Rangers" as if it's a franchise-wide expression and not something more recognizable from the first seasons is a bit wince-inducing)
