if your some what of a thinker like me delving into the name there is alot of reasons it might be named as such for example the dark of the moon could mean there is something on the moon eg decepticon space craft/ armies or could reference one of cybertrons moons arriving at earth or following armada as the moon being unicron or just for the lulz a tf twiligt crossover where the twilight cast get crushed by megs riped apart by ravage and blasted apart by ironhide because he hates them too all within 5 minutes of it starting

My thought is that, considering that Shockwave is the apparent main villain, he could establish an outpost on the moon, and launches his operations from there. Or, as was the case in RoTF, there was some left behind Cybertronian artifacts/objects of importance etc. left there that will be major to the plot of the film. We'll see...

I knew that TF 3 was going to have a gay sub-title name for the film but The Dark of The Moon that sounds like a luvey-dubbby romance crap movie.

I would have named it The Darkside of the Moon or Dark Horizons.

I told you that the sub-titled would be based of the film such as TF 3 is about the space race so it was natural it was to have moon or space in the sub title but still it is a gay name and I dont like it.

I guess I can give up on my quest of giving TF 3 a proper sub-title name. I also told you they done had it name so their was little point of my crusade of naming in TF 3.

I really dont care about the subtitle I will just call it TF 3 I just want a good solid film and a somewhat conclusion to the trilogy.

If they can pull that off I can get over the fact of TF 3's gay sub-title name.

But it does sound like a romance name more than action.

I agree. I don't mind the title. I'm going to reserve judgement until I hear about the actual plot and hear what critics have to say

Let me give a guess on the plot...

The moon is in fact Unicron, who has slept in orbit around earth for milliena, and now he awakens and wants to destroy earth.

Though, how do you defeat the moon? If he goes (or even if he doesn`t), what will happen to the Earths eco systems? When will Silverbolt be revealed? And most important - when will we see Megan Fox?

Are you kidding? Dark side of the Moon syncs near perfectly with Wizard of Oz, up until about 1/2 way through the film. You just have to know when to start it. I can't remember which Lion's roar you have to start it with.

Agree. Dosn't Unicron cast a shadow over the planets and moons he's about to eat in the animated movie? Probably in the marvel comics too, but I don't have them on hand to check. If so, then the title makes sense. It probably has multiple meanings, just like Revenge of the Fallen did.

Now as for Unicron *being* the moon, that's just silly and I hope that's not actually what they've done.
