It's neat that they're going for some more non-car vehicles in the Deluxe line, but this should have been made into a Voyager. The spindly limbs and lack of a second hand really kill it for me. But the alt mode is nice. So, for the time being, the only Deluxe I will own from DOTM is still Laserbeak or his repaint.

So deluxe class is going to be the new scout class [or commander, or whatever it's called these days]?

I'm tempted to blame the mechtech gimmick for his awfully simplistic look, but then quite a few other DOTM deluxe figs look FAR better than him. The head looks like he gutted a baby spinosaur [or whatever you call the ones with the sails on their backs], painted it in gold and wore it as a helmet.

This fig is just all kinds of wrong.

Absolute garbage. That being said, it fits in perfectly with the DOTM line as most of those toys have been garbage too.

RTS Lugnut is sort of the same in regards to the proportions, and it looks waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better. I think its possible to make a commercial airliner look good in Robot form.

True, but his transformation is based on Animated Lugnut (Obviously :lol:

) who wasn't really like a jumbo jet (He had a good place for his arms to go). Not to mention RTS Lugnut's a voyager, and Air Raid is only a deluxe.

Can't say I'm really impressed with this one. It just seems so sparse and lanky. Not much to say about this other than that. This honestly looks like one of the worst molds I've seen this year #-o

Yea, thats also true. I think a good sign of bad engineering is the fact that we can all see that backpack on him that looks like it could have been better used.

4 years of movie toy technology, advancements in toy making intelligence and we end up with this? I was fine with Transformers as commercial airplanes/sentries after ROTF Stratosphere, and there was really no need for Hasbro to pursue that type of alternate mode again. This is way too small for what it's supposed to represent, and it makes Blazemaster look good. I'm sure the figure is going to be better in hand and it did look better at BotCon, but wow, no wonder CHUGers hate movie toys.

I do have to say this proves the superiority of the pictorial versus the YouTube video. Was able to scroll down to see a **** robot-mode in a few seconds and then move on to other things. Would have had to watch 5-10 minutes of poorly manicured hands before getting the same info in a video.

Me Grimlock say: This Design of a flying Knight with shield and spiked mace is a NO GO! No transformer, just piece of "scrap"! Me stopped with Bayformers since Me see more and more really good looking 3rd Party Transformers (and with really nice colouring btw.) in the last time. Me Grimlock save money for december (Transformers POrime Toys) and for 3rd Parties like "Not"-Sixshot, "Not"-Constructicons, "Not"-Insecticons. This is the way how the design have to shown, badass bulky and it must blow you ass away with a "WOW Yeah...." reaction when you see the toy!

When me Grimlock look on this Bayformer Air Raid, me ask "meself": For how cheap (again) was the production Plasbro? The whole dotm toyline was a very cheapy production. It have to cost nothing, but shall sell as high as possible. :lol:

malicious tongues just say: Made in China... but then Me wonder why the most new 3rd Party Transformers look better in Colouring and in quality? ... and 80% come from China too! :-?

With swapping the arms and legs to opposite sides I could see earth-mode swoop, as a canadian collector it really irks me that we have gotten jipped on C.H.U.G figures twice now for this crap. I still haven't seen scourge, kup, wheeljack, thundercracker, and warpath up here at retail. and what about the upcoming generations figures that Hasbro claims are coming? I work in retail and were I work we still have 80% of the Hunt for the decepticons crap left. Oh well atleast they are providing some okay custom/parts bin fodder
