As of right now, I keep amassing alloy and when I finish a building, I just throw a bunch of alloy into the wall and then update something that only needs energon. At least, that is the plan for now

Honestly, with however much cybercoins you start with, you can get to 2k pretty quickly if you don't spend what you accumulate on anything else. The second 2k for a fourth build bot takes longer (took me twoish months) but it's possible. I went ahead and purchased a Build Bot Bundle when it became available to get to my 5. It's $5 or $10, you get a build bot and 1000 coins so it's a very good investment.

Please, before you upgrade your HQ any further though, max out your walls. It's only going to get harder to do later because their price goes up faster than the rate you can earn alloy. If that means sitting on a HQ7 with everything else maxed for a few days while you save the alloy, so be it. You'll thank me later.

I just pulled a... 1-star Viper from a free crystal



Since when was this a thing??? Got me all excited too cos I thought I'd pulled a 3-star

If it makes you feel any better, my latest Free Crystal was a 1-star Skywarp. I still don't have a Thundercracker, nor any bot higher than 2 stars. That free crystal did give me 2-star Blastoff though, which is one of my elites

Oh it's not that I'm disappointed with this - though it's not like 1-stars are much help to me now - it's simply that I didn't know any of the 'bots and 'cons added through events had 1-star versions. Up until now I'd only seen 1-star versions of the new guys.

Yeah, 1-stars cap at Level 20, 2-stars cap at Level 40.

If you'd join us in the Line chat you'd see various people talking about pulling 1-star Viper in the same manner as you .

He's still not on any official lists, either in-game or the wiki, which is weird. Anybody know if the Autobots are similarly receiving 1-star Sideswipe, or is this a con-only thing?

Here. It's available for PC, Mac, Android, iOS, and basically every other OS you can think of. Note: you will need to create a line ID as well as a display name. Line ID is permanent, and it's what we use to connect profiles. Display name is changeable. My line ID is gentlemanpyro, search for me once you're in and add me, then I'll add you to our chats.

Mandatory Scourge in one outpost aside, would you guys say the other two outposts are best suited exclusively to Warriors (and Special dudes that are basically Warriors like Megs and Galvs)? Gunners and Medics seem a no-go but I'm curious about the idea of Screamer or Blast Off in one of them for some nice air striker action. Or maybe even Cyclonus or Viper.

Also, this game is really good at math

The leader board isn't an instantaneous update ... things discussed on Line ages ago.

Feel free to news the newsletter when it's released in a few hours. It's one less thing I'll have to worry about before work tomorrow.

Gunners are good in the outposts. I keep Kickback in one for that damage tick ability.

Warriors though... Kurthy is of the camp they aren't the best. I keep Bludgeon in mine.

Air units though, I tried Viper once in mine. . It was not effective. They take too long to fire their ability in my opinion.

One thing we discovered is the very best thing to do is to put the higher level versions of whomever you put in there.

The outpost stats modify the character stats. So at level 12, my outpost bots had 91% of their health. So it lowers the stats. That means it's better to have your better bots in there as they will have lower damage and lower health. If you have a high level 3 star character, that would be better than a high level 2 star.

The abilities are technically not changed, but a change in base damage changes the ability damage.

Ultimately, the very BEST thing to do is to compliment the abilities like we do when we team them up. AOE damage being the best, that's another reason I like Kickback (and Shrapnel) in the outpost. Their trigger area is close and they hit everyone nearby quickly (unlike Mixmaster who I'm still not sure is the best in an outpost because of the slow cast on his ability)

But then again... AOE is only effective if your base is built around choke points and not too spread out.

If you're actually complaining about the response time of the news crew, taking into account that everyone has their own lives and most would have just assumed I would pick it up as I have been doing weekly (it arrived after I'd gone to bed so I couldn't ask anyone else to do it), then by all means, file a complaint directly with Va'al, the News Admin.
