I have a feeling that Nickelodeon post will have purists upset that they're giving the Earthspark designs more praise than the G1 shows while everyone else seems more intrigued by Megs and Elita-1 being less Evergreen.

I would not get my hopes up at all. As with Cyberverse, what we will get will be deluxe class bots. So probably decent toys but all the same height.

Bumblebee isn't very evergreen either, and Optimus is only partially evergreen in bot mode (then again, his design is as much G1 as it is evergreen). I thought G1 fans would like this post since it shows that Nickelodeon values the roots of these characters and knows where they are coming from, making the show a reinvention of G1. Showing a deliberate throughline in the designs.

Bumblebee is really just our third interpretation of the design that was first started with IDW. Evergreen, Cyberverse and Earthspark can all be traced back to that.

Megatron looks good, but I thought it was pretty cool how Megatron designs kept changing with each cartoon.

Call me crazy, but I swear that G1 Bee art was made for Earthspark, and not a screengrab from a G1 episode. We had seen some glimpses of worldbuilding that presents the Bots and Cons in merchandise/comics in the world they exist in, ala Avengers. So it seems to me that that Bee is an in-universe rendition of the character.

These all look cool, but yeah, the G1 characters seem to have been photoshopped onto different backgrounds. Elita's right-shoulder stovepipe got cut off, and is that part of Huffer on the left? And are they in someone's house?

Not being critical, it's just amusing. Looking forward to this show, as some of these CG models look even better than Prime.

Okay, so some artistic or style changes I can accept, but did anyone notice they made Megatron a lefty for his cannon? Some things, I just cannot accept, and lefty Megs is one of them...

While a show aimed at kids, the Earthspark show will include several G1 characters that many fans would surely be glad to see appear such as Skullcruncher and Swindle. It's always fun to see old favourites have new character models and how their designs fit with a new aesthetic, as we saw with Swindle in Transformers Animated for instance. We also get to hear Swindle speak here. Enjoy!

I wonder if Skullcruncher will actually be in this long enough to warrant a new toy, or we'll just get Cyberverse Skullcruncher in in Earthspark packaging, ala Cyberverse Blurr.

I like how Thrash and Twitch's connection to the kids is reminiscent of Headmaster binary-bonding, relationships explored repeatedly in TF comics, but not so much in animation.

He is more red than pink,like the Knock out BH "Crock out" with a body like Dreadwing,another exemple of a face-chest is PRIME Rumble which i dislike the color scheme of,there's a japanese redeco,he comes out of a very simplistic car,that's funny.

One extra detail:he has a different symbol on him,the same as Bombshell,some theories:

-they are animalformers

-they are fugitifs

-an alliance with Meridian would not be captivating

maybe they are souless clones made by him but he is very close to Swindle
