Evil Eye wrote:Dr. Caelus wrote:Evil Eye wrote:So you admit you didn't read it, but also dismiss it as a "sob story".
I read the first paragraph, which was enough to get the gist. Unless there was a plot twist in there somewhere, in which case you're not following through with your thesis, which would be pretty crap writing for nonfiction.
I'll have to take this sage advice across the internet- if you make any effort at all to explain things in detail, you're writing a "sob story" and nobody's gonna read it.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.
First-Aid wrote:Why does Optimus look like his chin is the same size as TFA Sentinel Prime with that mask on? That's disturbing. The whole alien encounter angle is played out in Transformers...that's pretty much what it's ALWAYS been about (literally EVERY series has been about this) so that doesn't make me that excited. I'll have to give it time, I suppose, but I'm not hopeful.
Those "Arachnamechs" in the trailer seen on the bridge are not "alien", they are manmade by Mandroid. The show take place after the Great War with Autobots and Decepticons still on Earth following the conflict's conclusion. Transformers are known publicly, with the kid's mother having previously been a soldier who participated in the war, and their father being a college professor who "has a Ph.D in Transformer knowledge".First-Aid wrote:Why does Optimus look like his chin is the same size as TFA Sentinel Prime with that mask on? Why wouldn't they be? They were the leaders in the war, and lived to see its end.AllNewSuperRobot wrote:Sabrblade wrote: The show take place after the Great War with Autobots and Decepticons still on Earth following the conflict's conclusion.
Strange then, that Prime and Megs are there...

The G1 cartoon's war ended with Optimus and Galvatron both still alive. Beast Wars's Optimus and Megatron lived to the end of that show's conflict (Beast Machines was a different show with a different war). RiD'01 ended with both its Optimus and Megatron alive. The Aligned versions of Optimus and Megatron are both still alive by the end of RID'15. And Cyberverse's war ended in the Season 3 opener with its Optimus and Megatron both still alive (its Megatron only died long after the war ended).AllNewSuperRobot wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Why wouldn't they be? Which sets it apart, I guess. I can only think of Animated, wherein they both survive to the conclusion?

Nope. The only thing skewered by a sword in that fight was Galvatron's own sword, cut in half by the Matrix Blade.AllNewSuperRobot wrote:Sabrblade wrote: RiD'01 ended with both its Optimus and Megatron alive.
Granted, it has been a long time since I saw Car Robots. But I have a vague recollection of [Devil] Gigatron/Galvatron being skewered by a sword, underground, at the shows conclusion?

Galvatron and all his minions (minus Sky-Byte, who got away) were all arrested and put into Phantom Zone-type prisons aboard Fortress Maximus, who took them back to Cybertron to stand trial for their crimes.

To those of you with opposing views, please refrain from trying to argue your point. Play nice. Thanks.

But one thing annoy me in that preview (appart the classic inconsistencies) is that Paramount + watermark.
This means it will be a Paramount + exclusive?
Jesus, why should I need to be subscribed to 10 different streaming services to watch my shows? Steam practically ended video games piracy with the convenience of that platform yet streaming services still haven't got the memo. Some even require a classic cable subscription to even work. Like, what the hell?
No wonder Torrenting movies and TV is still going strong.

I heard it will also be showing on Nickelodeon in certain regions.

That makes it even more confusing![]()
Things were so much simpler with just plain TV channels.
