It's not perfect, but I really think it's not a great pose or snapped together right.
I'm still getting it, because I'm actually pretty impressed with the whole thing combining and having unique limbs.

Blast off actually looks really cool too me. Love to see it in sparkling silver.

i sure hope hasbro doesnt screw this one up. they are able to come out with bad a$$ looking toys like the Masterpiece line, alternators line, classics line but then when it comes to combiners they just totally flop(PCC im lookin at you). he doesnt look TOO bad....but still...i hope its just bad camera angles or mistransformation. this guy has the potential to be the baddest combiner from hasbro(which isnt saying much)

Wow, what a wonderful toy! Wipes the floor with the Energon combiners. Look, he even has hands! And feet! I can't wait to get him.

Of course, there are a couple things I don't find all that appealing about the toy, but I ain't gonna bite the hand that feeds. No toy is ever 100% what we wish for - how could it be - and after all the garbage we've been given in recent years, this Bruticus is setting a new standard, and I hope more like it are on the way.

As for Vortex, I actually really dig his color scheme. It just 'pops', of course, I'm a sucker for some oddball color schemes (I loves me some Beast Wars Neo for example

).

Still, you can bet Takara will be doing a dark/metallic repaint of this set, and I'll have both (and any other repaints they happen to come up with)

Few points about people complaining

- Its a toy. It has safety laws and regulations to follow. Therefore some sacrifice is going to be made in the interests of actually getting the thing to us.

- We've been begging Hasbro for a proper combiner for years. In my opinion - Hasbro has definately delivered.

- Blast Off loose mistransformed.

One big worry though

- Is that gold plastic that Blast Off is made from? because as Han Solo and Chewbacca Millenium Falcon have shown, they definately haven't cured that problem.

stark difference between concept/game art and the actual figurine. you see a big chunky hard ass of a decepticon and then we get a spindly limbed toy...theres a trick somewhere and its deffinately being missed

If anything isnt this PROOF hasbro cannot do combiners that are fully articulated and that actually LOOK like the characters there ment to be representing?

TCC did devastator and he looks amazaing! FP clean up that crap hasbro gave us with energon bruticus and made him into a decent classic version. Rumours say FP are now working on a menasor and now Hasbro feel the heat and instead give us this bullshit? PCC figure which just looks terrible. christ sake i can see onslaughts arms basically just bending down on the bruticus formation

thanks hasbro i will be using my money for 3rd party companies. yet again hasbro fail

Hasbro are delivering a $60 5 figure, unique mold combiner that follows toy saftey legistlation.

TCC and FP are producing figures way in excess of that expense without toy safety laws to follow.

I'm gonna cut Hasbro some slack based on the fact this is a toy aimed at kids, not a collectors model aimed at adults.

I'm not keen on the mass of guns but it looks cool to me. It probably looks much better with a little fidgeting. I think the aerial guys have neat new alt modes. I'm really anxious to see what info we get about this guy from Botcon.

Really like Blastoff bot mode and alt. Vortex is better than I thought although Cybertronian helicopter form seems a bit forced.

Bruticus is possibly the best Hasbro combiner since G2.

It will look better once it's transformed properly. Even if the combined mode isn't wonderful the individual robot/vehicle modes are great. I especially love Vortex. I will buy two to show HasTakTom that I support these efforts. Everybody should buy a couple, boost the sales. That's the only way that they will start spending more development money & time on making better Gestalts. I say this is a nice start. Maybe they could make us a Cybertronian Devastator. Something based on the WW design. That would be awesome.

its the whole fact i can see the PPC connection style ports that puts me off more than anything else. You got those crappy ports on onslaughts wheels connecting into those -clear as day- pegs on vortex and blast off. The you got the same problem with the legs and the whole - brawl+swindles feet ARE bruticus's feet.....yeah...lame sauce

The whole figure says to me that hasbro just cant be arsed and have just done yet another crappy pcc figure. Looks as if were gona have to wait and see if any 3rd party company can clean up this retard of a birth baby that hasbro has made. Would have been okish if they had made onslaught decent enough but instead he has a crappy alt mode and his bot mode looks way to skinny and lanky. He looks anerexic and as if he needs to sit down and eat something before he passes out
