alt modes look great but the robot modes not so much, still better than DOTM & TFPrime so ill probably pick these up if they're not overpriced. Maybe my collection wont go stagnant after all.

Wow! I still need to get FP Bruticus which I was planning to do with my tax return, but maybe instead of getting the ROTF Bruticus Maximus giftset I should instead get the Energon scouts I'm missing (I already have Barricade) as well as the FP Swindle and Blast-off, then I can arrange him as Ruination and wait for an R.I.D. Scourge repaint of RTS G2 Prime....

or wait for Hasbro (or probably FunPub as a club exclusive) to put out this Bruticus out in Ruination colors with Scourge

This appears to be quit the referendum on both the RotF Devastator *and* the forgotten PowerCore Combiners. While it's great to see Hasbro responding to fan outcry for figures of the game renders, the fact that High Moon Studios essentially made better Transformers combiners than Hasbro says something. Here's hoping they've taken note.

I'm...sadly not. I like Bruticus a lot but something's bugging me a lot seeing that toy there, namely those shoulders...I dunno, it's hopefully going to prove me wrong but the points where it connects on the body just seem to be placed too low.

I just don't know if it's really beaten Fansproject yet.

considering we've fair warning, as opposed to being left with 2 expensive figures that we could pre-order and the rest of the team that were repaints many of us passed on, and then started going for stupid money...it's certainly got the price advantage, especially now, that the FP add-ons are rising in price to extraordinary levels, and the availability of both...assuming this Bruticus gets a proper release.

Shows a lot of promise. Hopefully FansProject showed Hasbro that this can indeed be done. It's too bad that it took a 3rd party company to come along first to show the IP holder the way though. Hopefully this leads to more exciting products ... imagine Classics Abominus and Computron ... or even more awe-inducing -- PREDAKING!

Think about this boss, these bad boys have been in the works for about two years. Just in my head I'm pretty sure that would be around the time that FP started showing their Crossfire 02 set. I don't see it as direct competition, rather that 3rd party companies can pump em out much faster then Hasbro. Look at TFC Hercules, about 8 or 9 months really from announcement to completion and a tonne of QC issues. Not that Hasbro doesn't have their share, but they are much better then 3rd party stuff. FansProject has the best quality of them all, without question but even they have their faults.

I guess what I'm trying to get across is that FP didn't really show Hasbro it could be done because Hasbro was busy already doing it. Who knows what else they can pump out...

The fact that the Protectobots & Defensor are in the novels and that we're getting what looks an awful lot like an update hotspot - almost Classics looking - in the Kayaba line makes me think I know what the next combiner might be... (and about damn time too)

With the idea of there being only 8 deluxes being sold with no grimlock, I have been thinking about that. The combaticons are a set, right, so what if even if they are deluxe sized seperately, they are not sold seperately, and sold at a different size class. That would leave room for 5 figures. They might also make grimlock (and perhaps other dinobots that may or may not be in the game) voyager sized, which would make sense if you think about how much grimlock looks taller then prime in the trailer. Ofcourse, that is in the topic of scale so....

It seems like we're grasping at straws, trying to somehow justify Grimlock and the dinobot's being in the line, as much as I wish it to be so the inevitable outcome does not look favorable.... at least not in the first wave! C'mon second wave FOC/Generations Dino's!
