Now I could be a downer and say "quit you're whining and be happy with what you got" but screw that! It's Friday night, I'm ready to rock and I say "Where the @#$% is OMEGA SUPREME?!?"
I wanna see that bad boy take on Bruticus. Come on Hasbro, let's make this happen and let's make something AS GOOD if not BETTER than the 3rd party guys. I've been underwhelmed by the last 3 lines (at least) that were put out so I say it's time to impress the #$%@ out of me and so far, FoC is off to a great start.
I don't see any major contradictions in the Aligned continuity that can't be explained in any fashion.Starscream GaGa wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Someone here (not me) even once made the argument that Animated more closely resembles G1 than WFC does.
That's ridiculous. The differences between G1 and WFC are less than contradictions found in the actual cartoon. The whole Aligned Continuity, no matter what Hasbro says simply does not make sense.

Caelus wrote:My wife pointed out something interesting about the prehistoric Predacons. I said that everyone was complaining because transforming for them mostly consisted of them just standing up-right. She essentially said, 'So? That's what our ancestors did.'

Maybe you can make them all go in a perfect circle?
I hadn't even thought of that! I'll have to change my sig...
I could keep it balanced with either the Armada Minicon or the Autobot one! I had at one point considered adding the other Blight but I think that would ruin the joke.

This is an observation and nothing more. Before I say anything I won't you to know that I am not ungrateful. Trust me, I'm happy that the next installment of your Transformers games is going to include a combiner. HOWEVER, I feel that Bruticus is a little overdone. By that, I simply mean that Bruticus or his mold have seen many incarnations. Now, while I AM a fan of Bruticus I would like to point out that between the Nintendo DS and home console versions of Transformers: War For Cybertron you have (playable) character models for four of the five Stunticons. Now, Wildrider (the missing fifth) is my least favorite of the Stunticons, but it doesn't make Menasor any less awesome.
Again, this is just a simple observation. I still look forward to Transformers: Fall Of Cybertron with much anticipation.
Sincerely,
Finishline
P.S. All passive aggressive hinting would become void in the creation of a Fall Of Cybertron Bruticus figure.

Now, if this actually sees store shelves I will be impressed.

Hell when i was 13 I went through a phase where I liked that junk, now it makes my ears bleed.Sodan-1 wrote:And what reason do you give for sharing that mutilated version of an awesome trailer?
I don't really like this music either though. I've considered re-uploading it with something else myself.

I strongly object to your taste in music.

Dark Energon? A synthetic Energon that is the entire reason Cybertron is uninhabitable in one, a newly-discovered form of Energon that is believed to be the Blood of Unicron and has never been use don Cybertron in another.
Diem wrote:We're going to have to agree to disagree. I feel like the Aligned thing came about after WFC started development. In interviews High Moon stated that their ambition was to tell the story of the early years of the conflict, implying that they were talking about the pre-established continuity of G1.

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

It wasn't synthetic in WFC, it was being stored in a huge facility and rare. In Prime it was revealed to be the blood of Unicron. There's even an entire episode in Prime that retells the basic story of WFC.

Yes it was. It was said over and over again that it was created in the station, in fact Megatron's entire reason for recruiting Starscream was because he knew how to create Dark Energon.
Seriously, I played through Chapter 1 just yesterday. It was definitely suggested that Dark Energon is made, not found.
Not to mention that WFC ends with Cybertron being corrupted by Dark Energon, which is not mentioned at all in Prime.
And if I am mistaken as to what episode you referring, that was retelling the story of Exodus, not WFC. Despite what people insist, the two stories are completely incompatible.

Shame it's over-sized.

Dead Metal wrote:But if you insist on Prime having to reference everything the exact same as the way it was done in WFC, then please point out to me where the G1 cartoon, bios, comics and story books mention the following:
- Dark Energon
- Omega Supreme being the key to the core of Cybertron
- The core of Cybertron giving Optimus Prime the Matrix
- Trypticon being a space station during the great war
- The transformers combining with turrets
- Every Transformer having the ability to turn their arms into weapons
- The Aerialbots existing during the Great War
