At least IDW Megatron's bodies actually looked like Megatron. That's the only reason I never got into Beast Machines; the characters' forms don't have any visual continuity with their previous designs.

I thought Rattrap made fun of Optimus Primal for this...

Oh, it was interesting, but since we don't have any word of Bruticus yet, I'm not too concerned about discussing those possibilities. Plus, I'm enough of a G1 fan to not like the idea very much. Which means that Hasbro is almost assuradly going to do it...

Wow, I never realized how similar their heads are.
It's an interesting idea, and visually it works. A space shuttle IS bigger than a truck. But really, can't we have a new sculpt for Pete's sake. All this re-painting and re-tooling has my head re-spinning.

Yeah, I saw it too but didnt really know how to respond to it. To me, it was just someone's speculation. Interesting, but I dont have anything to add. I would be more likely to voice my opinion if it was confirmed this would be happening.

I'm thinking that in terms of the Torso Mode's appearance, a Retool of Silverbolt into a Bruticus component could look GREAT in combined mode.
Which leads me to thinking, What if they make Blast-off the new Torso for Bruticus ...
Obviously, Silverbolt wouldn't retool well into onslaught well, BUT, retooling him into Blast-off would work well, as it would up-scale the character in the group who's supposed to be the largest, while at the same time, be a reference to the G1 show, where Blastoff's wheelbase and wings formed Bruticus's chest plate.
In doing so, this leaves onslaught out of the loop, but that's where Rook comes in. If these 2 share a mould, we get Onslaught as a Deluxe Paddy-wagon Limb, Swindle a retool/straight repaint of Off-Road, Vortex a retool/straight repaint of Alpha-Bravo, leaving the only guy not yet accounted for as Brawl, who doesn't have a matching combiner wars Tank mould yet. ... [/wild mass guessing]
Wow, never thought of that. That is a really good guess. There was some rumor out there on TFW that Silverbolt has a "out of left field" repaint coming. So you could be right. It would probably look great in Combined mode, but It would bother the heck out of me when they are not combined.
I can live with Alpha Bravo in Slingshot colors, but not a demoted Onslaught. I also saw a photo where they tabbed a Legends seeker onto the chest and it looked pretty good. Maybe they would do the same with a Blast Off?

That's great news! If you've got them up in the cities, then Mankato can expect them in...ohhh...six months or so
Still, I love the waiting for lines that look this good almost as much as I love finding them. And my Target has the RiD one-steps and two lonely Warrior Steeljaws on the shelves, so maybe the wait won't be too terrible.

You guys joke, but they wont be in Canada for the next 6 months at least. We just got the Windblade generations line at TRU and Walmart and Target hasnt gotten there so far (still at Tankor and Rattrap, when you find him).

Newer Gen. stuff, Windblade wave, etc. = WalMart
AOE scraps, RID 2015 = TRU and Target
CW = Target
I've scored all my big game Gen. stuff at Wally'sMart.
Maybe this will help.
I nabbed Chromia at WM.
DOES ANYBODY KNOW what her case pack is?
Is it, Chrom, Arcee, Rat T, and Tankorg?

Also, I thought that Arcee and Chromia were each shipped in their own exclusive cases, as part of the new "experiment" Hasbro is trying with letting retailers order cases of specific characters instead of assortments. Or is this only true for online retailers?

That wasn't for Big Box retailers, just those who order through Diamond distributor (like comic shops and smaller collector stores). Walmart and the other big box retailers dont deal through Diamond since they can get better deals with Hasbro directly without needing an intermediary and buying in larger quantities. And in that case (pun!), I believe Chromia and Arcee were shipped together. It's like the rattrap and Tankor line, just 2 different figures per box.
