This might have come up in the pages and pages of this thread but is anyone else having difficulty getting Blackjack to stay firmly in Menasor's chest? It seems like there are sculpted details inside the chest cavity that are meeting Blackjack's bumpers and preventing the pegs from holding firm.

why couldn't they release the comic book with the fiqures in the first place

If the pack-ins are indeed just recycled issues from RID or Dark Cybertron as a prelude to CW, then I can't see why.

If they are the actual Combiner Wars story, then they couldn't have the issues come out WELL ahead of the IDW story that sets it up.

No, I mind. I like the Powerglide we got, Blackjack is a new character(somewhat)as I like new characters, and Slingshot is DEAD. You wouldn't have the "original" lineup for Menasor by making Deadend as a legends. Because Wildrider doesn't exist in the comics.

Well, I just got my Motormaster in the mail and I love him. Finally a decent Motormaster! And that Menasor-head looks awesome, pictures did not do it justice.

Agreed. Motormaster is my favorite of this whole line so far. Always liked it in G1, and now it finally gets a figure that does it justice.

well that sucks, id rather have the comics than the stupid cards. Oh well i only paid $11 for each of em so its not a total lose. I just dont understand why they are reissuing these already, they just started hitting mass retail. When these come out there are going to be both versions on the shelves confusing people & taking up space. Id rather see arcee & chromia get another release.

Just take them back to the store. That is what I plan on doing when I see them at retail. Make Hasbro pay for their silliness.

If someone is on life support and the doctor says they are beyond saving, then they are dead. Just waiting to pull the plug.....

Slingshot is dead, just like Wildrider is presumably dead. Maybe Offroad fragged it and took its colors. Just like gangs do......

If Transformers fiction has taught us anything, it's that death is able to be undone. Previous characters have died and come back in IDW's comics before, most notably Ironhide and Nightbeat.

Also, if ever Hasbro wants to bring back a character for a new toy, you can bet they'll be back in the comics even if they have to go through hell and high water.

I cant believe we are still talking about this, the interview said Hasbro just wanted a new character for their combiners bcause they didnt want to keep releasing the same characters over and over and were catering to new fans. I would rather we argue that mentality than whether or not a character is dead in a fiction supporting a toyline. At least in a toy thread.

Love the idea of street gang Stunticons. That's why I don't mind their mostly mêlée weapon focus, particularly Dead End's makeshift pipe club. One of them needs a chain or nailbat or sometying.

TakaraTomy Transformers LG-10 Arcee. No IDW comic, but has a very Japanese-humor mini-comic on the other side of the instructions. Only has Japanese. Imported by Hasbro Malaysia. (It is the white sticker with a roundish ME or MC symbol.)

TakaraTomy Transformers TG-32 Centuritron. No IDW comic. Only has Japanese. Imported by Hasbro Malaysia.

Hasbro Transformers Combiner Wars Drag Strip from the first wave of Wave 1. Does not have comic. Has 4 languages! Imported by Hasbro Malaysia.

In addition to all that, the Legends, Voyager and Leader class Combiner Wars all have 4 languages, all imported by Hasbro Malaysia.

Toys R Us will only carry Hasbro Transformers, while Isetan (a Japanese departmental store) carries Hasbro and TakaraTomy. Most collector toy shops will carry Hasbro and TakaraTomy. Apparently, TakaraTomy stock is brought in by Hasbro Malaysia anyway.

So it would seem that Hasbro Malaysia tries to bring in the best deal (English-only IDW Generations with comic, instead of International Generations) unless it's not ready yet, like in the case of the comic-less Combiner Wars.

We're back to 4? I didn't notice. Packaging is there to be destroyed, not read.

To pull up this again: Yes, in a sense. For Combiner Wars, EU packaging has 4 languages:

- English
- German
- French
- Spanish

The address info is in several more though, but still no 13. On the flipside, RiD 2015 has those 4 languages as well for the feature call-outs, however the smaller notices are in no less than 24 languages, including Arabic complete with reversed reading.

I had no idea that the Combiner Wars deluxes were supposed to come with comics until the pictures of Wave 2 came out, with comics. I must've missed that memo when Wave 1 came out!

FWIW, anything from Takara won't have IDW comics in them since IDW comics ordinarily aren't domestically sold in Japan.

I can't speak to pre-orders with Chosen Prime, but I have zero complaints about the Takara Arcee order I recently got from them.
