Well, it was a little loose out of the box because the panels were not properly pegged. He's better now but the only really complaint I have is the feet. They are rather limited.
I wish he was more solid but he's pretty awesome for what he is.
While I love G1 I also love new innovations and takes on the characters.
I prefer official Hasbro releases of stuff for the most part
I'm not a huge fan of Japanese original Transformers media or designs.
It's easier for me to say which are my LEAST favorite toy lines: Beast Machines, Robots in Disguise.

It's good to hear something positive! Initial reports were kind of a downer, and I honestly don't get the hollowness complaints (when compared to Jetfire's who stare at you right in the faceOptimizzy wrote:Well, it was a little loose out of the box because the panels were not properly pegged. Yeah, I retired my older UM. I can see what other people may complain about. He's definatly more hollow than leader class from the past and I can see where the disappoint lies. I do wish he was made more solid but those days are long gone I think. I look at my alternators collection and compare it to the current masterpiece line. There is a definite reduction there. However, one thing is that engineering is far better than it has ever been. Ultra Magnus may be a little light but he's a well designed toy.
While I love G1 I also love new innovations and takes on the characters.

Is it even possible for him to hold them? Or do you need rubber bands or something similar to hold them in? Can't be worse than BH Voyager Predaking and those GOD AWFUL rubber hands.

He can hold them, but a bump will make them droop or fall out.

From what I can gather the hands open to make holding the hammer easier.

Well whatever the case, someone on Shapeways will PROBABLY make replacement hands for this guy, hopefully with wrist swivels so he can actually hold his hammer properly.

The "official" sticker sheets I've gotten from HasTak are flat silver, and unfortunately really look like stickers. So a while ago I bought some Reprolabels Bot and Con insignia sheets (white backed and clear, couple sheets of each) and they are about as good as stickers can get. Well i finally got around to ripping off those silver stock ones and popped a white Repro on there. Its a shame they were apparently covering a pin, but I like it a hell of a lot better than before.

I just picked up this guy and I also feel the silver stickers look bad. I do think you could have gone bigger though.
One of these days I've got get around to placing a reprolables order.
I too suffer from crappy phone camera syndrome.

Yeah, I figured it was for the hammer but a peg wouldn't have killed them. It's ok. I pose him with his hand on his hips looking all authoritative anyway.

Lovely, "hate on the new guy" syndrome flares up yet again. It's ironic that the Transformers fandom reacts so poorly to change.

I felt the same way when the Bayverse design aesthetic was debuted.
Also, Amazon earlier today didn't have Quickslinger available except through sellers asking for over double and then a few hours later it was back so I ordered them. The exchange rate is gonna kill me but at least Superion and Menasor will be G1. Also I've encountered the terrible reality that I am running heavily out of room for toys and my desires for toys from the Classics/Generations/CW lines are not remotely complete and I still need to buy other stuff too, lol. What the **** am I to do?

In a word my friend. Prioritize. It's an issue many of us face.
I would love to buy pretty much the entire CW line, but space and cash say otherwise, so... I have a decent Superion & Bruticus, so I'm not worried about those beyond grabbing Alpha Bravo as he is something new, and with Break-Neck in my BBTS POL I just need Blackjack for the full set (of 7). Defensor I'm contemplating, but as I do want Devestator I may hold back on, and hoping that Victorion ends up looking sweet, because I do plan to collect her.
Once I ran an Anime festival with over 6,000 attendees. Now... not so much.
