In the age of online sales [...] [w]hen you release a figure, you release it to the world. Every online retailer and their mother has them for sale.

One of these is not the same as the other.

Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.

Why? Both are technically interrelated. So who's the white Prime mold this time? What'd be the back story on the box? Legit issues no?

Well.... comics answer is that there is currently no white Prime, but all the other limbs are there.
So, with this illustration, the comics and toy line are not connected.
As of right now, mind you. We still have to see CW part 5 and the aftermath/Epilogue.

So the product is like a space filler? The way naked white UM from the Classics line was?

Ok, this is a half baked thought and I may be off base. I find it interesting or maybe puzzling that they used the word courage on the Decepticon poster.
I would normally associate courage as a positive descriptor and wouldn't associate it with the "bad guys". Of course, good/bad is determinded by which side of the fence you're on. In the current comics they are exploring the idea that both sides of the war did terrible things, but the 'Cons were still way more ruthless.
I don't know? I'm having a hard time finishing this thought. Maybe some of you could help me fully bake it or add some of your insight?
I don't think you are way off base. Indeed, it is hard to associate positive traits to those seen as "evil." But, I think of some characters and some situations. Storm Shadow in G.I. Joe seemed to be one who was on the wrong side. But I would associate courage and honor with him. Indeed, even Megatron showed honor at times. *shrug* It does seem a little weird to associate it with Menasor. Courage is action in the face of fear, not the absence of fear. To me, Menasor more really didn't care about danger or think about fear. "Fearless" or "reckless" would seem to be better terms...
Do you mean the white redeco of Voyager Optimus? That's Optimus Maximus, whose identity is stil a mystery at this point, but I'm growing more and more into thinking he might just be a powered-up form of Optimus Prime. Though it remains to be seen if this thing will appear in the comics or not.fenrir72 wrote:Btw, with the impending release of the white Optimus mold as the Ultra Prime(?) torso. Who is that character going to be in the IDW universe? Raising the question in the toysection because the Comic is just a glorified ad piece for the line.
UM already has the Minimus character piloting "the" UM armor. So who's the white prime? Is it like the Getter robot plot? The proto is the white version until the main kahuna is the colored?

Yeah I noticed that too. shrapnel is also under painted.

A non-evil human.
It was a heat of the moment thing that had Jazz in a frustrated scenario in which he lost his cool and didn't think before gunning the guy down.carytheone wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Not to mention that, well, Jazz did kill a human.

This fact isn't really that important here, but wasn't Jazz tricked or it was a mistake? I'm just curuous; I have quite a bit of back reading that I want to do.

Spoiler pic.
Jazz regretted his rash action, but was still removed from active duty and denied any release into the field afterward.

That part is more understandable since Reflector looks to have several paint apps by himself. But the fact that even the 'Con logos are different styles (bordered and unbordered)
If they release a Kickback I hope that he winds up with slightly different tones. If two of them look the same and the third doesn't that would be a bit rubbish.

Could just be an enhanced form granted augmented by the Enigma or something.fenrir72 wrote:Bullesye! But the "Albedo" effect. I wonder what cockamamie explanation IDW will come up with. As there is no more "white" UM in their universe.......maybe the original UM coming back?
