I think it will be the Prime/Motormaster mold that will be remolded as Soundwave. I am just wondering why Soundwave would have a truck mode...

Well, there were no casette players on cybertron, so he must have been some ind of vehicle. And thats what the video games did and that idea carried on in the IDW comics.

Yeah but he was more of a military vehicle, not a truck cab. Has Soundwave ever had a trailer? Because this kind of truck pulls a trailer, even though the toy doesn't have one.

They thought the video would be a good excuse to bring back Shockwave's G1 voice actor, Corey Burton. Honestly, he's the only Shockwave voice I'll ever need.

I wonder if they'll finally do a combiner Soundwave. I've been thinking for years that Soundwave and his minions would lend themselves well to a Scramble City combiner play style. Heck, just think of how many possibilities there could be if they designed them right!

Just take Ravage for example. Cat mode, bot mode, limb mode. Cat mode obviously based on his G1 self. Bot mode based on his various BW and Alternators versions: cat head becomes the robot head like his TM(and TMII fan mode) version with the easy retool, or even alternate transformation, to be chest with proper robot mode head like Shadow Panther. And with that, easy repaints/retools would include G1 Rampage, BW Cheetor, BW Tigatron, and more.

Laserbeak and Buzzsaw could easily be made into Divebomb/Airazor repaints since they've never had robot modes, except for their BotCon and GDO figures. Heck, they might even be able to remold them into Swoop and Terrorsaur.

Rumble and Frenzy, they could probably figure out some alt mode to give them that makes sense and could also be repurposed into even more repaints and retools.

I think you may be dangerously close on this guess. It's not like we haven't seen deluxe cassettes or bigger with different altmodes in the past.
It would be a "great" way to get some pre-tools out there.

Thanks for reminding me... yeah, guessing you're right with the twins being motorcycles. That would make them too small for limbs... but they'll attach at the chest, likely. That's not bad. I also like them that size much better.

Those wouldnt serve as limbs of course, so I dont know what would happen. There is also the notion that the wheels along his chest section mean show that this isn't really the same mold and maybe just the artist inspiring himself. After all he does still transform into the same body he had before:

I would love to see this design materialize, this would be a bad A@$ version of Soundwave. Thirty plus years and the best alternate design for Soundwave has been a satellite. I think a heavy duty armored military truck would be a great design especially if they could incorporate drones and motorcycles that attach (Laserbeak, Rumble).

If there's a CW Soundwave and cassette bot combiner coming out, I'll probably be happy whatever the configuration is

Somebody else said something like this, but I'll reiterate it, (Was it you prjkt?), and along the same lines as what shajaki just said. If we get Computron, we get Afterburner, who could be Frenzy an Rumble. Heck they don't HAVE to share an alt mode. One of them could be Lightspeed.

I cant decide on which side to fall on with a combiner Soundwave. On one hand it would be fun and a new Soundwave could be better than W/FOC was, but the G1 kid in me likes his smaller legend size minions with Soundwave. I also dont like Ravage and Laserbeak/Buzzsaw having humanoid robot modes. I still use BH GO! Soundwave as my classics Soundwave, Im sure that annoys some G1 people.

Soundwave: Retooled Motormaster
Rumble & Frenzy: Retooled Groove (if using bikes) or Retooled Rook (if using tanks)
Laserbeak/Buzzsaw: Retooled Air Raid

I love Rumble & Frenzy. They had those tank scout Transformers United ones. Which looked very good.
But to have these guys solid deluxe sized

I haven't been on the forums in a long, long time. I have a fairly decent collection of Classics TF's, and have skipped quite a bit in the last few years. CW have me back in the hunt, especially the Stunticons since I'm a huge fan of Decepticons.

I've been so out of the loop that I figured I could get a quick answer on here if anyone wouldn't mind.

Does anyone know if the Unite versions of these guys (Stunticons) will be available separately??
I haven't been able to find Motormaster yet, but I'm wiling to wait on him and Dragstrip if I can get the Japanese versions without buying all of them (already have the other 3).

The Unite Warriors versions only come in gift sets, so no separate members. Here are some other things to keep in mind, and to bring you back in the loop a bit:

1) On the Hasbro side you may have noticed that Slingshot and Wildrider are replaced by Alpha Bravo and Offroad respectively. The Unite Warriors sets has the two original members included (albeit as retools of team members), but Hasbro saw fit to release them, as Quickslinger and Brake-Neck (trademarks, you know?), as online exclusives.
2) Defensor has Groove shrunk down to Legends "for scale", with his spot taken by a new member named Rook, a SWAT APC. Unite Warriors Guardian keeps Groove as a Deluxe, however, not only is he a Japanese website exclusive (but there are still pre-orders out) there are signs Deluxe Groove will not be released in the US. Keep an eye on the news!

Hey thanks for the response. I knew about Slingshot and Brake-Neck (he should be arriving in the mail any day now)... I was just hoping I could get the Unite Warriors versions of Motormaster and Dragstrip. I know the Hasbro Motormaster color scheme resembles the G1 toy fairly closely, and I'm fine with that. But I like it a little more when figures match more closely with the cartoon versions.
I'll pick-up Motormaster when I finally find him, and as for Dragstrip, I'm tempted to look into custom painting him to get rid of any red-violet sections. I know I have the skill to do it, but finding/matching the yellow-orange will mostly likely be very tricky, and I don't really want to mess with painting the whole figure.
