Haha, no, but close enough. And by the way, there is nothing wrong with that. I bought 500$ comics just so I could see what it was like to read them in their original release (the reprints have white glossy back stock paper which makes everything look so much worse and dated for some reason).

Of the 175 some transformers I own, only my original Camaro Bumblebee was bought without a package. I like to buy my figures fully carded and mint. Nothing like opening a transformer yourself!

I bought the entire IDW run of transformers comics dating to 2004 2 weeks ago. That cost me $350 since I bought the IDW collections 1-8, Autocracy, Monstrosity, Primacy and Punishment and "Death of OP". I have all the RiD, MTMTE and Windblade ones, so it was a great feeling to get every single one and read them through. I loved reading everything and essentially getting up to date!

Not sure if anyone has said it, and I apologize for not looking through the thread first, but one of the IDW issues from maybe a year ago, right after Dark Cybertron, had Rumble and Frenzy turn into motorbikes. So, prepare for the possibility that CW Rumble/Frenzy may be repaints of the fairly terrible Groove figure.

I actually thought the Groove figure is pretty cool and nifty. He looks good as a chest plate too.
I actually kinda want him to be one of the fan built combiner guys. He and Hot spot really work for me.

Yeah and maybe another Primus, I want one with modern engineering. A Titan class one, like Metroplex!
You would be surprised how well Primus can hold a pose. That cybertron mold (and line as a whole) is a model of modern engineering while maintaining simplicity. Most of the combiner war vehicles take from that hotshot mold 10 year later.
I've been wanting to get that Primus figure, but have never been able to find him for a reasonable price anywhere. Anyone seen him for a good price anywhere? Like for under $150.00?
Your best odds for him are local places. Either yard sales, church sales, second hand stores, flee markets and local adds. What is great about him is that his guns are attached and his key is really big so the only thing you are usually missing are 2 missiles and maybe his key. Actually, e-bay has him loose for 30$ so that's fun, it makes up for the shipping cost to ship this giant. Here is the cheapest one that is complete. And if I you intend on playing with your figures, then there is no point getting them sealed MISB because they will lose all their value once you open the box. But then again, I know some people who want them super mint just to be the first to open them

I want a complete one, not one missing parts. I'm just that type of fool.
I actually remember seeing Primus in a catalog when I was like 7, I wanted it sooo bad! I sound so young lol.
Don't make fun of me because I'm 15.
I'm okay with not getting him, I don't have enough room to get TOO MANY big guys anyways.

Combiner Wars Hotspot found at Canadian retail
- Motto: "'till All Are One"
While there were rumours of Combiner Wars Hotspot found at Canadian mas retail, here is the first photo proof of this. He was found at Walmart in Montreal, Quebec, Canada for 34.92$ cdn. This is usually a great indication that he would be hitting US shelves soon if not already, adding to the already found Wave 3 Deluxe and Legends figures. If you spot him, make sure to report him in your respective toy sightings threads.

So.... The ENTIRE GDO line is going to be irrelevant by the end of the year. Glad I stressed so hard to get it......
But really, the Classics Ravage we already have is pretty killer, I don't know what they could do instead.
Happy to be getting a Rumble that might actually be, y'know, released somewhere.
And as for Wheelie, they better do something awesome with him. The GDO Wheelie is hella cool, and honestly one of my favorite Transformers altogether. I know it doesn't make ANY sense for him to have the Jazz mold, but for some reason, that figure is just rad.

Walky likes him because he loves that mold and he loves that shade of orange. Maybe you're the same?
Kinda sad to hear about all the GDO stuff getting redundified so soon. They seemed like great options at the time, but then Hasbro turns around and makes PROPER versions of everybody and it's kind of like "Well what was the point of making those redecos?" Ah hindsight.

I do hear that it's an excellent mold. I hope to own it one day, whether as Hot Spot or someone else. It could make a great pre-Defensor version of the character. But boy, the CW Hot Spot mold seems pretty great as well.

Although, actually, you're probably right... Obviously, the G1 toy was red, and it looks like the majority of merchandise over the years has followed suit. The only (transforming) exception I see is canceled Hasbro release of the Scout class tank version. So I would be unsurprised if this Rumble was also red.
That being said, I am glad that, even if officially they were intended to be the other way around, both those Scout class tanks and the Masterpiece cassettes have allowed for the possibility of the blue one having pile drivers. In the case of the Scout class tanks, of course, they were built into the mold. So it would have been hard to do otherwise.
If this Rumble is, as rumored, a recolor of Groove, I doubt he will include any pile driver gimmick, though. So if a Frenzy hopefully follows eventually, the lack of pile drivers should make it just as easy for anyone so inclined to mentally swap the two.

I'm waiting on the mailman to deliver CW Hot Spot as we speak. But I doubt he's a replacement for my GDO. That pre-Defensor remark is a great excuse to keep him.

From what I gather, it was never Hasbro's intention for the GDO stuff to be the main classics version of a character. That's why those decos weren't scheduled for the north american market originally. They were just supposed to be some fun little redecos (nothing too fancy) using existing molds to give their growing Chinese and other international markets a little something extra (like those sticker sheets for example). Due to the uproar, they distributed the in the states. But since it was never their intention to make these the proper versions of the characters (I mean come on, we even already had an appropriately sized wheelie and a bunch of these were out of scale, look at Cliffjumper), I dont find it fair that we now complain that they are making those toys obsolete. These were exclusive decos and that was it. Be happy you were able to own them, they were never intended for north america.

some of the GDO releases are pretty sweet, I use that GDO Cliffjumper as my "G1enough" version, as the Classics version is too costly and just a Bee repaint.
Powerdive and Megatron are pretty sweet too, get the Reprolabels set for Megatron, and you've got a nice classics-verse G2 Megatron - that's tempting me tbh.

*Getting in on the action*

I only see a black robot and a blue one. FIBRIB. Besides, in the show they both used Pile-drivers to create earthquakes. Doesn't that really make both of them Rumble?
I actually liked a lot of the GDO repaints. I even liked Springer. Its a shame easy head swaps can't re-purpose them.
More on-topic - really hoping more G1 characters that never proper toys get into Combiner Wars and Generations. My collection lacks a decent Alpha Trion and I'm loathe to get the rather expensive 3rd party offering.

Sigh.... so where are the Wave 3 deluxes? Only a tiny smattering of retailers had them on shelves (very briefly) and that only in midwestern states. For the most part, all the major retailers are still dinking around stocking movie4 crud that they can't even give away, and RiD stuff that only kiddies really like.
The Combiner Wars/Generations line has been disappearing from shelves almost as soon as they pop up, except maybe the wave1 voyagers. The wave 2 stuff is still harder than heck to find, and the wave3 stuff - well, you wonder if it's even out at all. Practically the only place you CAN get the wave3s is through the 3rd party websites and their hyper-inflated prices. Hasbro has still not given their OWN online distributors access to the wave 3 deluxes.

Why are you still ranting about that.
Firstly, you are just using your area to make wide statements about everywhere. And that isn't true. Do I have to show you those pics again? My toysrus is full of nice wave 2. The walmart next door as well. So if what you say is true for everything, what are these doing here? Is it magic? Is it because they are crap and people dont want them? Or is it simply because distribution is tricky and it's taking time to restock in certain areas.
And don't cry wolf about online. TF source is getting more combiner wars wave 3 deluxes in June (you know, THIS month): http://tfsource.com/combiner-wars/deluxe3-set-of-4/. If you preorder them now, you'll get them when they come back in stock.
Lastly, HTS should not be the standard to judge a toy's availability. How many times must we say this. Hasbro will ALWAYS favor their main customers, which are the giant retailers. They come first. If they have extra or overstock, then HTS is their best way to sell it. If what you say is true and that combiner wars are selling like hot cakes (at least in your area), then wouldnt it make sense that your store orders more and thus there is less for HTS to have on their site?
