You know what?

With the Sky Lynx mold being what it is, and how difficult it would be to use it as another character (Not that it's ever stopped Hasbro before), it wouldn't surprise me to see Takara do an extensive retool to actually make a Giant Purple Griffon. They seem to do it often enough with molds that don't get a lot of use.

Imagine if it's combiner head was Megatron!

It was never explicitly stated, but the "running change" images of Bruticus from Botcon showed him as a matching tan on the Onslaught version, and a different shade of olive green on the silver Bruticus version.

I made the assumption that he'd be part of the running change wave.

It also really bugs me that the 'tan onslaught' has tan wheels.
And that one production sample that was at botcon with one unpainted white wheel was the exact same one in the display case at SDCC.

really disappointed in the scattershot mold. and the fact that they will not be making the rest of the team.

not interested in one of these g2 repaints or this horrific looking fan creation thing.

This is the original Victorion. He is made of redecos of previously released molds. People voted for her regarding a few of her aspects and Hasbro used those to make this. There is no other Victorion. This is the first and only. I am very confused.

Actually he's just saying saying that he wants them to change the colour scheme to a different one then was voted for. Don't know why he didn't just say that though

Foot clones, and they share the same foot/hand/weapon mold. Same goes for Dead End/Brake-Neck/Streetwise - and Offroad/First Aid (the unique mounting point on the back of the cab). So I guess Hasbro considers them the same mold.

I don't have anything against repaints per se, but they are REALLY abusing them in Combiner Wars, and even then, I was okay with it, because they made sense and at least had different heads, but Blast Off and Pipes are awful, and aside from the deco, they look NOTHING like themselves, and in Pipes case, it angers me, because the poor guy has never had any kind of update.
Battle Core Optimus is a waste of budget, his existance is inexcusable, there was already a combining Prime, and what is insulting is that he got a new, and COMPLETELY UNNECESARY NEW HEAD.
I still look forward to some releases, but overall I feel disapointed, maybe due to the extremely high expectations I had out of this line...Oh Combiner Wars, how far you've fallen :-(

Sky Lynx could also work as dotm Hatchet

and follow that up with first aid as dotm crankcase, streetwise as Barricade, breakdown as Crowbar, and Alpha Bravo as Tailwhip

I think this guy's chart is just calling them by their G1 alt-modes. For example no way in hell is CW Skydive an F-16 Fighting Falcon (He's a Mig 29), but he appears to just be using ther G1 alt-modes to name the molds

But I agree, Dead End looks a bit like the Ferrari 458. Definitely not exact, but closer than a Porsche

Y'know, the spreadsheet is really cool and it helps a lot, but.....Dead End isn't a Porsche anymore. His Combiner Wars figure has a Ferrari alternate mode.

Can I just say that in my head canon, Victorian is made up of Rapido's sisters?

VERY similar color scheme.

And it's funny how Transformers is embracing gendered robots again (which I'm fine with; making them too robotic leads to stuff where they become reduced to action set pieces) and Transformers have brothers. And they have femmebots who get hit on. (Arcee has been romantically linked to half the Autobots in different continuities, I think.)

But (and maybe I missed this on Prime which I haven't seen a few large chunks of) there are no brother/sister teams. The women are girlfriends or one of the guys or basically off in a robot sorority. But I can't think of one being addressed as a production sister. And I think having a sister is how you do something totally new with the femme bots. Not sisters with eachother but a male/female brother/sister thing with a bit of rivalry to it. That's a classic genre staple from the Quicksilver/Scarlet Witch through the Wonder Twins through a TON of sitcoms.

But any time I can think of a Transformer referencing a brother, it was male. When I think of a Transformer referencing a sister, it's female. A brother/sister pairing would be classic but new.
