After this year's events I put a new spin to that shared mantra:

Well for one thing, his knuckles are part of the tread (I can virtually guarantee they won't be painted) so they have to be the height of the tread, so there's that.
As for his thighs, we haven't seen the arm mode, so, since his is an unorthodox transformation, many choices had to be made to get his arm mode to have approximately symmetrical elbows, but can also condense into a predefined height for the leg mode, all while looking G1 accurate and having a nice looking robot and tank mode, so it actually becomes very complicated when you think about it.
I have no problem with it, and he will probably be combined most of the time, so even if I did, it would be a non-issue

I am not a G1 fan, please treat my opinions as such.

Same on the combined mode part, but its still something I noticed that just looks a bit off. Like Rook is a little bit short in the arms, but it's not terribly noticeable to me. This is just a bit different.
Funny Thing: Since i got them, the protectobots have switched pretty equally between Defensor, vehicle and robot modes. They are great the whole way round

Yeah, they're pretty great, I just love hotspot's alt mode, much the same way I love magnus' alt mode. If my streetwise weren't made of 2 different shades of plastic, he'd be out here too; but now I have Prowl

And, yeah, I was simply pointing out that, engineering wise, the standard (aerialbots) design yields nice, standard figures, but once you stray away from it, things start to get a little iffy, just look at breakdown.
But I just love rook and first aid as limbs, they make for really bulky arms and first-aid makes the best leg, it's so sleek

Rook is magnificent and the real winner of the wave. First Aid just screams MTMTE which is awesome. Streetwise has an amazing headsculpt and Hot Spot is pretty spot on too. Love the torso mode. Blades and Groove are pretty cool in their own ways too (head and overall design respectively)

Logically he would. A tank or a jet/shuttle supporting all that weight? Yeah, I know which one I'd go with.

Re: Transformers Generations Combiner Wars Discussion Thread
Did Hasbro ever explain why there was 2 distinct colours of Bruticus on display ?
-----
Remembering the Scout class Brawl being an APC and thinking about the Decepticon Gutcruncher and also thinking about Rook, Alpha Bravo and Off Road.
How about repainting/ slightly remoulding Rook as Gutcruncher and making him an official bonus Combaticon team member ? I can't suggest Bludgeon as he's coming out another way, but Gutcrunchers' little vehicle he sat in looked a little bit like an APC when he's not in it.
If you didn't want to go the Alpha Bravo route and just wanted to make a Decepticon Military vehicle then I'd say go with (either version) : http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Dropshot_(G1).
I just like the back up team member idea to me it just gets around so many of the disadvantages of the combiners with regard to mission roles their use in combat and the consequences of casualties.

That's some nice retooling on Swindle there!

I was thinking the same thing.
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).
