And so, my final hope of Blast Off having his own head or at least Firefly's have died. Well, at least Bruticus looks really nice, but I think this time I'll wait to see what Takara does with them. >:oP

Nice! Always have had a soft spot for Bruticus - some of my very first Transformers toys were the G2 Combaticons. Definitely gonna pick these up!

brawl mis-transformed, but why ? Is there anyone on Earth who doesnt know how a tank looks like ?
Im interested in seeing the "running change" on Onslaught. Ive never been a huge fan of the toy accurate grey chest plate. I really want a cartoon accurate chest plate that looks like Blast Offs shuttle parts. im not a fan of the black bruticus head either. No the stupid bright yellow missiles on Vortex. I'm sure Takara will do something much better.

Thanks, I'll do that! Was just weighing up the cost (literally) of paying out more for UK-based sellers (in this case, Masterforce) against the cheaper dollar. The risk of missing out entirely may be enough to take the hit on paying out more...

Practically the only place they've been found is at Target, so focus any stateside search efforts there if you can. I haven't seen Wave 4 anywhere else, and looking over the sightings list, it's target, target, target, straight down the line. One would think that wave4 was a target exclusive or something...

There are still a few Protectobot deluxes on the shelf at our local Walmart...

That's reassuring, I've mostly been marking down Target stores in the New York area.

And yes, Brawl is mistransformed, you can see how the tank is supposed to look like on the box. That seems to mean though that his turret can turn since it is supposed to face the other way. That's a great new tidbit!

Actually if you look closely you can see it's facing the correct way but the turret is too far up. Almost like it slides

Anywhoo...onto ole Brut himself.....you can still see a bit of Defensor in him(obviously due to the reuse of the Hot Spot mold with Onslaught modifications) & whatever other reused/heavily modified molds they used on him.

+ from what I hear.....a lot of people are rooting for the Takara version(something to do with the feet on the Hasbro one or something of that ilk).

No, they are rooting for it since it will have a Blast Off that actually turns into a shuttle and isnt just a straight up repaint.

Interesting how this is the grey chest plate even thought the green-tan one is supposed to come out first. I hope there's a way to put the guns on his back cause that's one of the defining things for Bruticus.

I disagree. It is one thing to dig and find a prototype image of a toy but in this case this is the head designer telling us he is working on Blast Off on twitter. I fail to understand how that is not a confirmation. When hasbro told us we would be getting combiners, that was a confirmation we were getting combiners. I dont see this being any different.

Think as you wish, we are getting a takara shuttle blast off. The only question left is if it will be exclusive or not.

You can plug them into Defensors back because of hot spots arm transformation. I'm not sure if you can do the same thing with Bruticus because of how the shoulders are. It also doesn't help that the guy in the picture has two of the same guns so it wouldn't work regardless

Brawl is similar to the original Blitzwing, you can slide the turret.

This just locks me up to the TT release on June 2016. Maybe by then we'll also get a Hin-D type retool of Vortex too? (Hey I can dream too :lol:

Just because the head designer says he's working on something, it doesn't mean it will come to fruition. I could be pulled at any moment for any number of reasons, especially if its a decision from another dept. ie finance or management. Things get pulled all the time in business, regualrly without warning.

Just because they did it once, it does not guarantee they will do it again. If this the rule, should we expect to see 3 or 4 new deluxe limbs from them to go with Scattorshot?
