By incrementally lowering it, they'll eventually sell out while making more revenue than a one time price drop. I'm sure a good amount of folks have pounced on this deal, with more to come.

I had a interesting convo with my brother-in-law last night about Amazon. Amazon is not controlling this crazy price drop marathon. It's most likely Hasbro, or I would guess maybe ToyRUs. Amazon doesn't always buy this inventory. Instead they simply warehouse it for the manufacturer or the distributor. Just like they would for an independent seller.
Interesting stuff, I think.
