Making weapons and accessories is one thing, but creating new actual characters to integrate with actual Hasbro/TT product is something I don't think has ever been attempted before. First of all, I apologize for the lateness of this response. Somehow I stopped receiving email notifications about this thread and then looked at the forum the other day and realized I was 30-some pages behind. Spent the last few days catching up.

Anyway, as far as integrating third party figures with HasTak figures, I point you towards one of the earliest 3P combiner efforts, Fansproject's Crossfire 02 upgrade set for Universe/ROTF Bruticus. They made original molds for Blast Off and Swindle (dubbed Explorer and Munitioner) along with extra parts to integrate with the existing figures. Until Warbotron came along it was the definitive Bruticus. So a 3P Liokaiser torso could be done.

As far as more directly CW news goes, I finally found a lone Sky Lynx at a TJ Maxx last week, along with a G2 Menasor set for $40. I thought about picking that up, decided against it because I don't really want it. I'm wondering if I should go back after all and buy it while it's cheap to sell off in the future, though. i'm not normally that kind of person but if this has resale value, it might be worth it someday.

One thing I'd really really LOVE to see is a trailer, 3rd party or Original, for the Voyager trucks.
A black one, or dark grey, for Motormaster
A silvergrey one for O/P
A blue/red/white one for BC O/P (to make him look like Ultra Magnus) or perhaps something totally new.

Transform into a base that can combine with eachother and with Fort Max / Soundwave / Blaster titans.

I want trailers darnit!!

What I'd like to see is a trailer for Motormaster that turns into a homage to his "repair base mode" when he's in robot mode and splits apart into components to make his combined mode less awful.

Has anyone else tried repurposing G2 Break-Neck as Decepticharge and G2 Drag Strip as Jetstorm? I got them both pretty cheep on Ebay and it's a nice way to get a few more random deluxes for mixing and matching. I needed at least one more limb for my CW Galvatronus.

Ok, combiner wars Computron is a pretty great figure. I know I really put this thing down before, but he really is an awesome combiner.

Now, a little something I found out. Having an issue with the "combiner lean" in combined form with the Silverbolt mold? Found a solution (2nd picture): if you angle what would be Silverbolt or whoever is the torsos one elbow one click, it will help stabilize your combiner. Made my Computron go from leaning forward pretty bad to standing upright perfectly.

A friend has devy in a cool pose where he's sitting on a ledge with the legs hanging off. It's pretty funny, and no leaning issues lol.

Wouldn't matter that much: the hole in question isn't completely round, rather, it's half round while the rest is square. Think of it as a "U" shape.

Our fellow seibertronian Death Reviews has some fun news to tell us: Combiner Wars Deluxe Groove is available on Hasbro Toy Shop for the regular retail price of $16.99. Unlike the last May Mayhem, there seemed to be a production snafu with Deluxe Groove, making him more sparesly distributed back in May. However, it looks like there are now more than enough for Hasbro to sell him themselves. Anyone in North America who has wanted this toy for the uninflated price of $16.99 can get him now (or get him again).

Perhaps Hasbro could have made a new Character based on G2 Groove who could have worked as a chest plate alternative and bonus team member - then if they ever do G2 Defensor I guess they will have use Groove - but ditch the chest plate unless they do as I suggest.

I do wish they'd sell things like G2 Groove, G2 Alpha Bravo, G2 Off Road and Missing Leo Kieser team members as some sort of Dark Energon like exclusive wave. As I have mentioned before I also think a upgrade piece could be made to convert many of the combiner wars bots into Seacon style Targetmasters too. Using their foot plate as a base to stand on and providing a cannon and handle part so they can be hand held by combiners and Leader class toys.

Such an addition justifies the extra team mates a lot more too.
