From the time these figures were announced, I wasn't impressed. Seeing the comparison pics, still not impressed.
I'll take the Classics versions (which I think are really good figures) over the CW versions. At least the Classics versions are original moulds and not just repaints.

SW's SilverHammer wrote:I'm inclined to by Sunstreaker and Prowl of these for multiple reasons. The foremost being that I missed the Universe 2.0 figure of both. I know that they're really aren't crazy expensive for how old and popular they are, but I don't mind the instant gratification of these figures. The second is that these are pretty nice molds and are different enough from the universe/classics incarnations to be distinct on their own, owning the classics/universe characters takes nothing away from these dudes, and vice versa.

That is SO much better a Prowl head that the one we got on Universe Prowl. Vastly superior resemblance to Prowl that the Universe toy's more depressed-looking "aged and weary old timer Prowl" head and face.

I already knew I wouldnt be buying these, but these comparison shots really put the nail in the coffin. For $10-20 more you can get the real deal Universe/Generations figures on e-bay. I would encourage everybody to let these things shelf warm to send a message to Hasbro not to go this route again. Victorion is cool, but these repaints are a joke.
I both understand and respect where you're coming from (despite you're claim that classics mirage is 'real deal' since it looks nothing like G1), but I personally never cared for the over-sized chests of the classics figure's (especially sunstreaker's whose bib looks so strange and disproportionate) with the exception of the mirage mold

Despite what people say about these (myself included, as I still would have preferred some different figures) I like the variety these offer, straying from the G1 designs that I dislike into something that I do like; And that's not to say that I don't think that not remolding the chest plates isn't lazy on hasbro's part, but I like them all well enough.

CW Ironhide > Universe Ironhide
CW Mirage < Classics Mirage
CW Mirage (with fan mod) > Classics Mirage

Seibertron wrote:As for Combiner Wars as a whole, the extremely fast pace of repaints and repaints is getting old pretty quick. I get why Hasbro has to do this, I disagree with the fast and furious pace. I'd prefer to see some more diversity in the molds before getting a 4th repaint/remold in a line that has only been out for 9 monnths or less.

I got it to work as fine as it will once I figured out that you guys were talking about having it flipped over, it's just not as sturdy as the peg side. I'll take some pics if I remember of it like that before I combine them into Ultra Prime but mine will be flipped around the other way.
As for the other figures, I'd love to see if there were some alternative ways to attach their horrible hand-foot gun to their backs as jet packs or something so that I can have the piece attached to the figure but not in their hand or awkwardly attached to their upper or lower arm.
