I'm not meaning to be a letdown or anything, but I DON’T THINK Hasbro is gonna make a murdering cult of Decepticons, that includes a member who turns into an electric chair, for kids. I’m sorry.
Gotta side with you there, plus another decepti-gun, probably not happening![]()
Honestly I'd be happy with Vos and Tarn
We have to remember that Hasbro is a brand that makes figures NOT just for collectors, but for kids. The More than Meets the Eye comic from IDW is Violent sometimes, so don’t expect every, single character to be given a figure officially.

I never expected any comic figures to be made; there were always so many comics, I figured it would be too much for them to keep up with; that and having to inevitably sort out what is and isn't canon, and the dumb multi-verse thing![]()
In fact, I find it weird that it is happening to some extent now; I grew up with war within, which was considered pre-g1 canon, and the only figures that came of that were the titanium ones when I figured a whole host of them could/should be made.

I like the fact that they are making comic toys. I love the fact that I have a Lost Light crew on my shelves right next to the comics!

Stormbringer Thunderwing. Truly a scary ass character and one worthy of a large leader or larger toy

Question: Are the DJD completely new characters or updates/callbacks to previous g1 characters (from either the toyline or extended fiction).

Would you count G1 Whirl and Roadbuster toys from the comic? Because those G1 comics is where we got to know them back in the day.

They seem pretty new to me, unless, of course, you know of a G1/BW figure that turns into an electric chair

DJD began in the MTMTE comics, so they are only like 3 years old

Haha, I was just gonna mention war within, but obviously I am pretty sure you know of those toys and that series alreadyIts too bad in a way, that toyline was relegated to the titanium series. You know, I got the fallen recently and I like him a alot, he is my first titanium class toy and I am told that its all downhill from him. But in any case, I like him and have elected him to be at my nightstand for the time being (with Legends Arcee).

Covenant of primus did a good job with him in my opinion. the rest, yeah couldve been better

NO, that art turned him into a knock-off/wannabe megatron. I like my Fallen's evil, magical, and on fire

I meant about his character. Being on fire will always be the big trick that is epic

In short: kids, don't lose the pieces.
Combiner limbs: don't lose your big a$$ gun in battle. that's your extra hand and foot

As long as mine works better than the Hasbro Menasor torso, then you guys will be happy right? RIGHT??? Gooooood...
D-Maximus_Prime wrote:That Bot wrote:Burn wrote:You know who combined well and integrated his parts perfectly into his alt mode?
(Original) RiD Optimus Prime.
To be completely fair, all that core Prime had to do for his combining was spread his shoulders and raise his torso over his head. But yes, his extra parts were well-taken care of. Except his damn pistol. I've lost that thing and then found it and then lost it again several times. I think I've lost it for good this time.
As for integrated combiner parts on scramble combiners, we tried that with FOC Bruticus. The result was kind of terrible. I kind of prefer the hands and feet be separate on the real toys, even if they spawn out of nowhere in fiction. As long as they have somewhere to go and look plausible in other modes, it's good. This works especially well with the Aerialbots, since real jets are known to have underslung missiles. For the cars, I admit it's much more obnoxious, but kids don't care, and adults can put them to the side.
Those integrated parts sucked. They made those toys very hard to play with. I like the new ones so much better
D-Maximus_Prime wrote:william-james88 wrote:Integrated parts work pretty well for LioKaiser.
Liokaiser was the ultimate combiner, still is. nothing has yet surpassed it

I don't think they should throw people out of their suspension of disbelief like that, if they were previously happily in a Classics/Universe frame of mind to say sorry you have to be in a Generations/IDW one now - because we say so.
Seems a bit mean to me. At least when they made Legends of Swerve or Tailgate you had the option to see them either way (due to the Earthern Alt modes).

What difference to our generation does a Combiner Wars bio make? We know who the characters are and we are likely purchasing them because of how we remember them from our youth. For everybody else, especially people new to Transformers, those bios are quite nice and provide a good foundation for play. This is especially helpful to kids whose parents may not allow them to read the comics (even those included) because of how violent they can be (kids are not IDW's target audience). We can't just assume everyone has seen G1 or reads IDW and knows the Aerialbots personalities, or those of the Ark characters being the released alongside them, etc.
