Wanting some opinions here;
I'd like to have a Legends Class Shockwave for my UW Bruticus.
I like the look of the TT version, but damn, isn't that around $25?
HTS has him right now for $10.
Anyone think the TT version is worth that price tag??

-edit-
Awesome just saw he's NOT in stock at HTS.
But either way, do I go Hasbro and save the $$?
I guess the best way to answer this is to ask yourself how much do you want Cancer? If not at all, go for Hasbro Shockwave. But if you do want Cancer, go for Takara Shockwave.

For only 25 bucks you can have Cancer! Don't want it? Give Cancer to your enemies!

I agree with everyone else, definitely go for hasbro, if you want a properly colored Shockwave (or TT for a lavendar shockwave, ya know, which ever floats your boat)

I wouldn't quite call Hasbro's "properly colored" since there's an awful lot of berry pink on Hasbro's that didn't exist on either G1 Shockwave's toy or his cartoon model.

I really don't think Takara's looks as bad as people make it out to be, tbh.

Who cares if isn't pure G1, it's a prim and proper update >:oP

I was merely pointing out that you should buy the color you want, but if that doesn't matter, there should be no reason to really want to buy the TT one

I dig that shade of purple myself and I really like the silver paint around the gun opening/knees. I think the Tak version looks great, but I'm really happy with my Has version.

I went with Takara for Shocky. I don't really care that much about the color, but I do think Takara's looks a little nicer. But I went with Takara because the Hasbro will most likely never show up at retail here and he isn't available on its own on Kapow. So I just ordered him from Anime Export alongside Blurr and Comps ;)

This is up there with Blurr as one of the best reasons I've ever had for wanting a Takara version more. Goddamn I want shockers.

He pegs into the back with his legs acting as over-the-shoulder guns. It's a pretty weak connection but the only one found.

His packaging doesn't state that he is part of Sky Reign. His backpack mode is a clever fan mode.

But he is always up to the task of supporting Defensor or Victorion.

He does have to lean back one click at the waist to stand in this pose. Groove's arm that's hanging down is meant to be a trigger guard.

Overall, I much prefer this over the chestplate look, as I really do like Defensor's black chest. Hope those pics helped, I realise the light was a bit birght. If not, I can try again at the weekend under some natural light. Essentially, from bike mode, you unplug his arms and swing his shoulders in the robot mode position. Then swing his waist down into robot mode position and lock it in. Swing his thighs up against his torso and fold his legs so it's in line with his bike mode (his kneepads should be against his chin). The arm that's on the side of the leg peg, twist it around at the elbow and drop it 90 degree to be the trigger guard. On the side with the leg hole, flip it 180 at the elbow so the hollow part is against his leg and push the arm from the shoulder back. There's actually a perfect gap in his arm for the kickstand to fit into. Fold out his legs like for robot mode and plug one of hotspot's guns into the hole in Groove's leg (if you want it aimed straight, you can't push it into the hole full yor it won't clear the handlebars), and the other in the kickstand hand (you're preference if you want both barrels on line or staggered. Just depends if you plug the gun in upside down, but don't worry, groove will hold the gun securely either way). Angle the windshield against his seat for visual smoothness and use the peg on Groove's leg as the handle. Boom. Targetmaster. It sounds more involved than it really is. :BOT:

I think it was always assumed that Wreck-Gar was part of Sky Reign because all the other combiners had a legends partner.

It's possible it was official announced then redacted.

I'm just calling it backpack mode because he can sorta peg on Sky Reigns back.

I have him and there are no instructions to do so. Gun mode is also a fan creation.

But we can mix and match teams any way we see fit. Have fun with them ;)^

Legends Windcharger arrived today because I needed an extra tenner to get free shipping on an SD card. I'm having a lot more fun with him than I thought I would; at first I didn't like his robot mode but then I discovered he does in fact have head articulation and he is lovely to pose with Groove. His colours are so sexy too and his vehicle mode is just lovely; I even find if you fold the roof forward it looks vaguely cybertronian.

Wreck-Gar was believed to be a part of Sky Reign because Hasbro originally included Wreck-Gar on Sky Reign's PowerPoint presentation slide back when they first revealed Sky Reign at BotCon 2015. But while Wreck-Gar was seen with the other components on that slide, he wasn't seen attached to the combined form itself. And when the toys were seen in the display case, Wreck-Gar was grouped with the other Sky Reign toys but not attached to the combiner. So it seems like Hasbro originally had wanted Wreck-Gar to be part of Sky Reign's team, but hadn't yet thought of how he would be attached to the combined form, and might've thought that they could/would figure something out for him between then and his release date, but they evidently never did, resulting in Wreck-Gar getting released without any indication that he was a member of Sky Reign's team, as Hasbro apparently gave up on their original idea for him to be Sky Reign's Legends class figure.

Hey guys, you know what I am a bit pissed at Brawl. Its not the arms or the waist this time, everyone knows that, but I find the colour to be off too. While Hasbro does what it wants to do with the deco, their Bruticus is very toy accurate. No need to look further than the combiner torso or Votex' midsection which makes him look like he's ready to join the pride parade. And I dont mind all that. I think its fun for these combiners to have such istinct looks in deco i comparison to the takara figures. It actually amkes it feel like you have something different instead of better or worse. Like with Blastoff where one is the right alt mode with the wrong colours and the other is the wrong alt mode with the right colours. There is somethign to like in either case.

But not with Brawl. Instead of following the theme of the toy decos and giving a green Brawl, different from Takara, we get a colour that is closer to his appearance on the show which looks more brown than green. And yet, nothing else abot the deco is show accurate, unlike Takara's. So he ends up being in between, accomplishing nothing and just adding a drap deco that doesnt go with the fuller colours found on the other deluxes. In this case, he just looks inferior rather than different.

I'm a big fan of shades of brown so it doesn't bother me too much, but still... hard to see what they were going for with that deco.

Yeah, I love it, personally, but I think its still a valid point that the figure they promised us in the render differs from the figure they showed us at botcon last year - and what we ended up getting;
