Hey, thanks for all of the responses to my question about Shockwave.

I definitely don't want Cancer, but I do like the paint apps of the TT version.
I don't mind the lighter purple, and the way some of the clear plastic of the chest has been painted; imo that looks a lot better.
But I just can't get myself to pay as much for that as I have for a Voyager fig....
So I'll go Hasbro.
Just wish I could find him in a store!!

Oh, and I get the gripe about Brawl's color... Especially when the initial shots had it as a green.
While I don't think it's that big of a deal, Hasbro dropped the ball on that one.
So weird when you'd think that'd be so easy to avoid.

Well, I kinda want Takara's figure of Cancer since he was arguably the best-developed Decepticon in the Masterforce cartoon. An awesome character in his own right, and one of my favorites from that show.

If you mean when buying him, it's if he was released in Wave 4. Unite Warriors also has the hip fix. Aside from that, I'm not sure if there's any way to tell aside from when you have it in hand.

I ended up buying the second version of Motormaster and provided the embossed lot number. Let me see if I can wade through the 600 pages....here it is!

It might be the product code etched in the box, or if you see it next to a bcop and wasn't previously at said store before, then it means he was shipped with him and has the fixed hips - sorry, 'bout all I can offer.

On the back of the box is an embossed number. If it leads with 4, it's a wave 2 version with bad hips. If it leads with 5, it's a wave 4 version with fixed hips.

It also helps to know what waves your store has gotten in and which ones have completed sold out. If it has anything beyond Battle Core Optimus Prime like Onslaught and Scattershot, chances are the Motormaster shipped with them is the fixed one.

Everyone says it is. The podcast actually chose it as their favourite release from the entire combiner wars.

Well, it's G2. Something ALWAYS breaks. Or crumbles to dust.

I forget that my TRU stocks excess products on top of their shelves. I took a look up last time and saw that we wont be out of G2 Menasors for a considerable while.



Also, while I am not sure who is in these Leader boxes, smart money is on CW Leader Skywarp since he's the most recent one. Dont know if I will bite when they lower the price unless they sell em all, which I really doubt)

When it's the same figures over and over that NEVER come to my TRU, or ones that my TRU keeps selling out of, or ones that aren't just One-Step Changers and Three-Step Changers and the others of their kind, YES!

It's not like Transformers art was ever made to capture the essence of the character. They just put Autobots in heroic poses and Decepticons in battle poses.
