And any other stores besides Nippon Yassan, HLJ and Tokyo Jungle?
Sorry to sound so negative but this is the worst time to get into Hasbro's Combiner Wars figures. We are one year after their release and they are now sold out with the scalpers finally able to sell them at the premium prices they were always hoping to get since they arent found in stores anymore. And fans are still playing with them or still have them in their collection so there isnt much on the secondary market aside from scalpers.
As for other stores, there is TFSource: http://tfsource.com/search/view/status/ ... 0warriors/
They still have the optimus maximus deluxes in stock too : http://tfsource.com/search/view/status/ ... er%20wars/
There is also big bad toy store: http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/sear ... 20warriors
And here is what they have for the Hasbro versions: http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/sear ... ner%20wars
Sjeng wrote:PS: does anyone have a full list of all the Combiner Wars models that are retools of one another? (such as Ironhide = Trailbreaker = Offroad = ...)
Do the Decepticons also have a full set? Are all Seekers available as limbs?
I'm gonna do some more research in the wikis! http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Transformers:_Ge ... .932016.29

Yeah I noticedbut thanks!
I did find the Protectobots set by Hasbro C.W. on Amazon.co.uk for reasonable prices, all together for about £79,- (12 per Legend, 22 for the Voyager and 9 for little Groove), which is about €95,-
The only thing is finding out if they will all ship to the NL, or perhaps even free shipping.
Amazon.de is also an option for me, but their prices are much higher somehow...
While browsing Amazon, I found out there are quite a few Deluxe autobots out already. Many are retools though.
But with all those Autobots, you could create TWO Optimus Maximi!
Red/Blue O/P with:
- Prowl
- Mirage
- Sunstreaker
- Ironhide
- optional Rodimus
White/Gold O/P with:
- Hound
- Trailbreaker
- Smokescreen
- Wheeljack
PS: does anyone have a full list of all the Combiner Wars models that are retools of one another? (such as Ironhide = Trailbreaker = Offroad = ...)

CW has a Smokescreen, while UW has a Ratchet. Tough call, but I think I prefer Smokescreen. Colouring looks good on both versions, so in the end I think it'll come down to price, should I ever want to pick this one up.

Not really. He was also part of the Botcon custom class but you had to paint him yourself.

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.
Sjeng wrote:In the case of UW Defensor, it would add a second, different Groove, which is weird, unless I'd also buy that new swat car (which, strangely enough, is NOT listed on Hasbro's website here. They placed Groove as an arm there...
Hasbro "chestpiece" Groove:
Compared to Takara's Groove:
Unite Warriors Defensor:
I dislike the grey colour of the policecar, but I love the Groove leg.
Combiner Wars Defensor:
I prefer the colouring of the Hasbro one in this case, and the SWAT bot is cool, but I'd be missing the bigger Groove
BTW: is the smaller Hasbro Groove included in the CW Defensor box? Or are these always sold seperately?
In this case I may be inclined to go for Hasbro's Defensor, but how would I be able to pick up a seperate
Takara Groove? Worst case: I don't. It'd be a shame though. Even though 2 different Grooves may seem strange, and the Takara Groove is out of proportion compared to the cars.
But we saw the leaked glimpses of Hasbro's Computron before we saw Takara's.That Bot wrote:This configuration with Scattershot, Ironhide, Mirage, Sunstreaker, and Prowl was referred to as Betatron and for a while it seemed it was all we would get of a CW Computron until Takara unveiled theirs and Hasbro changed their minds.
Shadowman wrote:This is Sabrblade we're talking about. His ability to store trivial information about TV shows is downright superhuman.
Caelus wrote:My wife pointed out something interesting about the prehistoric Predacons. I said that everyone was complaining because transforming for them mostly consisted of them just standing up-right. She essentially said, 'So? That's what our ancestors did.'
Insurgent wrote:Yeah, hasbro were always going to do computron. They rwleased betatron bexause of behind the scenes management forcing them to fill out the wave, or something. Or to prove there's a market for computron. I forget exactly now, but hasbro computron was always on the cards.
Insurgent wrote:Huh. Could have sworn i tead an interview where they said theydidnt want betatron, they just wanted to go straight to Computron but something forced them to do betatron first, and he was named so precisely because hes a beta test for computron. Im not going to counter, I dont remember properly. But it wasn't takara computron because we saw the box art leaks well before we even got a sniff of takara computron.
Kurona wrote:Actually they officially stated that Scattershot was going to be it; they weren't going to do a full Computron until I think Takara made Groove. I'm not sure if that was the reason but I'm sure it was something Takara did that made them think "yeah screw it we can do a Computron".
That Bot wrote:Along with Sky Lynx, some didn't like the non-combiners becoming combiners, and combining cross faction, because they're glued to G1 and hate fun.
