If only white Prime was worth buying because maybe they'd fix the thigh gear joint or something.

Sadly, even though Motormaster came out pretty late in Malaysia, it doesn't have any fixes (I can't even tell you if Blackjack was fixed, because it never reached here, and Rodimus disappeared the very same day it appeared. I managed to snag his casemate, Skywarp, though.)

This mold would have worded so much better for any number of other characters. I don't think it works for Rodimus, and since it seems we've been waiting a while for an updated IDW inspired version of the character this figure is even more disappointing to me.

But this isn't Hasbro telling us "here is the rodimus everyone wanted". I think its more Hasbro trying to have some fun with the scramble city concept and just putting a more popular and known deco on a toy which has a similar alt mode to rodimus (kinda like when they made Exellion out of Cybertron Hotshot) to make more out of the mold. I really dont think this is supposed to be anything more than that and I dont think it means Hasbro wont do a better rodimus sometime soon.

Don't forget, the original rumor from Venksta said that Optimus Maximus would have a new headsculpt for his standard robot mode (leaving the combiner head the same, though).

Rodimus (Prime) looks great, definitely better than Blackjack. I'm really hoping that Prime doesn't have any issues posting on to Voyager Optimus as Blackjack does with Motormaster.

I'm excited / curious to see the white Prime. Mostly, will he be all white? What will the other colors be? Such an odd thing to exist. A new head sculpt would be fun.

Ha! I just saw what you did with my name there. And no, he wasnt exclusive to canada. I thought you had him for some reason. He was exclusive to Target though, as part of Predacon rising, the very same line that gave us Prime Skylynx and that clear plastic abominus (which you would love!). Here is the link to the entire exclusive line which the states had. Lucky for Canada, this all happened when Target was still around. Good times...

For me, at least, it just isn't something that I want, no matter what it looks like. The mold is not my favorite, and I don't need a third iteration of it after Optimus Prime and Motormaster. It doesn't represent any character in fiction that I have an interest in. I can't see any reason why I should have any interest in this toy.

Your mileage may vary.

I called an eventual Thunderclash since before we even knew that Prime was a combiner

But look at the Motormaster chest design! It already has the Elite Guard Aubot symbol wings molded in :shock:

Fellow UK Seibertronian Crankcase79 brings us another update from the grey shores this side of the Atlantic, confirming what collectors knew, deep inside, to be true. In an unsurprising but still disappointing bout of retail logic, Hasbro has confirmed the following (thanks to Transformers Addicts Facebook group user David Polwarth: Wave 1 of Combiner Wars? No problem! Wave 3? Yeah, hitting stores between now and July! Wave 2: lol, nope. Read on below for the actual reply from Hasbro UK, and offer a shoulder to the Disgruntled Brits - and probably the rest of European distribution for now, too - in solidarity.

That's absolutely ridiculous. Especially the way they split the limbs between waves. UKers you have my sympathy (actually most of the stuff hasn't shown up here either, f'in Hasbro... I gotta buy everything online now).

So the long and short of it is this:

"The total amount of figures sold has reached the required amount for shipping new stock too late to be eligible for Wave 2. Therefore, Europe will get the later Wave 3 instead."

If that's the case, it proves assortments available for immediate order by stores gets rotated every few months, even if nothing gets ordered. The boat for Wave 2 has sailed for Europe it seems.
