I think all Transformers figs would be a lot heavier if they were 100% solid

Hey...where's Titanium UM? :-s

He is unmentioned and unphotographed. As it should be!

And RID UM?

And why not Energon, RID and Universe Spychangers, Cybertron (even though it's just a recolor of RID), Animated, PRID voyager and cyberverse, G2, Beast Hunters voyager and cyberverse, Platinum, FoC and Mebsuta, Cloud, the other Titaniums figure, Alternity, the other Masterpiece figure, Battle in a Box/Armada, Revoltech, and Ultra Mammoth while we're at it? I know I'm still missing some too.

Get them all to Shartimusprime so he can throw an Ultra Magnus Party. Nobody would be there though because Ultra Magnus can't deal with that now.
Evidently, the guy who took the pic only collects G1 Ultra Magnuses.

Curious. I was kind of excited about leader UM in this line, but seeing how flimsy it looks on video... Not sure if I want this one. I think I'll be satisfied with my TFA Leader UM.....

Curious. Target seems to be THE store in the continental US if you want to get some figures a bit earlier than everyone else. What is it about Target? Is it just that they, of all retail outlets, don't care if their clerks put stuff out on the shelf before the 'street date'?

Leader Thundercracker is still available at HTS.com as of May 19, 4pm, MST. Is it because he's a remold that he hasn't sold out like a lot of the CW line?

I'll try to post some pics tomorrow, but I have to say that I am a bit underwhelmed by UM. He's smaller than I expected. It is not going to be easy to take a sharpie to the wheel rims. Some parts are not as tight and don't peg in as well as I had hoped. I thought there were ankle tilts, but that does not appear to be the case.

On the positive side, the hips/cod piece does not drag on the ground in alt mode. It rolls pretty decently. Additionally, with how the cab attaches to the trailer and the space in the chest cavity, I could see how it would not be difficult at all to craft a G1 cab for UM...

Oh wow, that works about as well as when I use Daft Punk figuarts for bioshock characters. Mm, Though you know thinking about it looking at the botcon comic, It'd make a mean Primal Prime. In fact if they did Primal Prime, repainting Minimus Ambus into Alpha Trion would make more sense in a weird roundabout way.

Man, City Commander looks really dated compared to Leader Magnus, MP, and Citizen Stack. I remember back when it was like the end all be all, "perfect magnus". I know allot of people still love the 06/07 classic's aesthetic and figures, but it does look a bit dated by todays standards.

I'm really loving how the blue plastic looks in that light! The white looks nice and true as well. I think I'm going to be perfectly happy with the Hasbro version, though I may still get the Takara version later on. I'll be keeping it on pre-order for now, just in case.

Speaking of the Takara version, I noticed that the vertical rectangular indent at the front top center of Magnus' helmet is filled in with silver paint. What is the inspiration for that? I don't think that's been filled in before in any other G1 version of Magnus, whether the original toy or the cartoon. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think that part is colored anything other than the same blue as the rest of Magnus in the IDW comics as well. Kind of a weird embellishment for Takara, who usually tries to be as accurate as possible to SOME source or another. This one seems entirely made-up.

I thought I did see an image from IDW that looked exactly like Takara's paint job, but I did a Google image search could not find an image of any version of Ultra Magnus in comic form with the silver detail in the head. :-?

Must be one of those things people think is there but never has been. :-$

As for Hasbro's paint job, that pic in normal light makes it look a lot better than I thought. It's clearly not as bright as in official pics and with spotlights on it. And I love the blue swirls. ;)^

Neither, because neither of you actually contacted the news team. The link to contact us is in my signature. There is even a "submit news" link right at the top right in the site's banner.

In any case, we already posted a video review May 18th as news, it was the first available.

I know, hence why I wrote that we posted was the first available. Not every review of every figure gets front page news. Just the first one. The rest goes to the video forum, which is where you posted it, so good job on that.
I dont know what is so confusing about all this, let me know if I am not being clear.
