Kinda interesting that over the course of 2-3 years we're getting the seekers updated in two different scales. Deluxe took like 6 years if you just bought Hasbro and about 4-5 for the dollar store legends figures. Right now I'm getting Starscream but I do plan on picking the other two up later.

Dunno why in the past 4 years we have got 3 sets of seekers. Must just be very popular right now. Though I would like to see a bit more variety, such as idk say a new Galvs perhaps? Or some new cons like we got some new bots maybe? just saying: they are really hammering those seekers out. :BOT:

Have the same phenomena when taking pics of G1 UM. The blue in person is a bit royal blue but in images especially digicams, it turns to dark blue. Maybe the lighting? :???:

We need an expert opinion from a physicist or a photographer to give us a clearer opinion.

This reminds me of the image in the web of a dress which caused a big stir for a slow newsday......it was like gold but wasn't....

All camera brands render colors differently to taste and in a different ratio - so a Sony Alpha may have flourescent, vivid greens that appear to glow compared to the actual subject, compared to a Canon 1Ds MkIII for example. The Sony color rendition may look more pleasing to some but is not as realistic as the Canon's. What should be done is to neutralize each brand's 'flavor' by calibrating it.

What is the general consensus on these Leader Class Seekers?

What are you going to do with them in regards to what line or what set of toys they go with?

Are they just flat out too big for Classics?

I got a ton of Generations figures all based on or featured in the IDW comics, so these IDW-based Seekers will go with them.

Thundercracker at least was depicted as a pretty big guy compared to, say, Bumblebee in his upgraded body, so the Leader being taller than him doesn't bother me much. Besides, I'm also gonna be displaying the Legends class Seekers of the same IDW-based body type, along with Armada Starscream (since IDW Starscream had that body in Dark Cybertron), all on the same shelf, so I'm less concerned about all of them looking good together with one definitive version of each character, and more concerned about just getting all of them to fit on the shelf itself.

You should see my Rescue Bots shelf with so many versions of Heatwave, Chase, Blades, and Boulder in all different sizes and scales. ;)

Unfortunately I think I'm going to skip them. Evan after the reveal of that super sweet Sky Warp. I always get Sky Warp.
At first I thought they would be nice to fill out my MP collection. I only have Sky Warp and Sunstorm, but than they announced TRU MP Starscream. So that kind of put the Kibosh on that idea.
I think all three look really nice, and thanks to Jetfire I know they are fun Trnasformers, but this year is heavy on the bank account and I gotta trim the fat somewhere. I'll just have to stick to the Legends for my IDW style Seekers.

What are you gonna do Punch?

I'll probably think about it pretty hard, look at a bunch of comparison pictures, and remain uncertain.

Then I'll buy Thundercracker when I see him at retail, hem and haw about it, and put it away in my closet so I don't have to think about it anymore.

Edit: He's bigger than MP Thundercracker. I think I'll be passing on all of them.

Yep. Classics has too many combiners that they almost come up to and Hegemon who they tower over (or if you've got the original Classics/Henkei/United Megs, same deal.)

I'm putting them with my IDW stuff because scale on that stuff is already so wildly inconsistent (even in the books, different guys are different sizes based on sometimes just the artist) that it doesn't matter.

Yes, they are way too big for classics. But then again so is CW Megatron. Thats why I am sticking to the classics sekers and classics nerf gun megatron for that collection. I do really like this leader mold though and greatly dislike the MP seeker mold (especially in terms of what you are getting for your money) so I might just use these for my MP collection. Depending on the price and look at this year's MP Starscream from TRU, I might get leader TC and SW and then MP Starscream simply to differentiate between the characters (if the starscream MP is the right price, of course). My MP collection is based on getting the best version of these characters in this bigger scale but best version to me meant what looks good and poses well, not necessarily what is most G1 (hence why MP Megatron is NOT part of my MP collection). I prefer transforming this leader mold more than the MP seeker mold and it's way less fragile, while being much tighter. I find these leader seeker molds work very well in the MP line, those MP seekers could use that extra height:

 Always glad to be handy. My main thing is getting the most for less (like Hasbro BaDum Tish!). And I find us so damn lucky to have MP sized seekers who look pretty damn good, for super cheap in comparison. I have been waiting for a new seeker mold for a while (that number 5 spot on the eventual top 5 seeker molds list has been begging for something better than the alternity seekers). Think about it Cobotron, we are super lucky to actually choose which mold we want in this size. So I say why not have some fun with it. The seekers are cool characters and have (or had) different bodies to distinguish them in the comics so having different versions of them to place on a shelf is pretty optimal.
For me, IF MP starscream is indeed the price TRU computers said it is and IF it is the coronation set, then even if I am not fond of this mold, it will be a worthy purchase and I can differentiate him from the two others. If not, I still get my big Starscream with a crown for cheap to stand on my MP shelf (its a theoretical shelf, I actually keep all my stuff in boxes).

I don't remember the price tag on the coming MP, but Sunstorm was 79.99. I did wrangle him with some coupons and R Us points, but theoretically one could get two CW Leaders for about the same as the one MP.

Hmm, I guess if they're good enough to folks for their personal MP shelf, all power to you, but I don't think they fit aesthetically with the rest of the MP toys one bit. Right size and nothing more.

I think at this stage I have enough to warrant an entire area of the collection dedicated to the Seekers (similar to how I have a dedicated area for Optimus Prime/Convoy figures).

 I had no idea how large the Leader Class figures are! Yikes.

I have a Leader Class Thundercracker on its way already, so I guess I'll see it soon in real life too.

I'm not sure I get the point of Leader class in relation to Combiner Wars since they aren't actually combiners (right?) like the Deluxe and Voyager classes. I just got TC because I like the Seekers.
