Same goes for the white plastic, seemingly perseverating between true white and off white. What magical plastic did Hasbro use to make this figure!?

The Sony color rendition may look more pleasing to some but is not as realistic as the Canon's. What should be done is to neutralize each brand's 'flavor' by calibrating it.
This video helps you see what I mean: (the important bit is 4:16)
I got a ton of Generations figures all based on or featured in the IDW comics, so these IDW-based Seekers will go with them.Counterpunch wrote:What is the general consensus on these Leader Class Seekers?
What are you going to do with them in regards to what line or what set of toys they go with?
Are they just flat out too big for Classics?

Thundercracker at least was depicted as a pretty big guy compared to, say, Bumblebee in his upgraded body, so the Leader being taller than him doesn't bother me much. Besides, I'm also gonna be displaying the Legends class Seekers of the same IDW-based body type, along with Armada Starscream (since IDW Starscream had that body in Dark Cybertron), all on the same shelf, so I'm less concerned about all of them looking good together with one definitive version of each character, and more concerned about just getting all of them to fit on the shelf itself.Counterpunch wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Counterpunch wrote:What is the general consensus on these Leader Class Seekers?

Even then, aren't they grossly out of scale?

Unfortunately I think I'm going to skip them. Evan after the reveal of that super sweet Sky Warp. I always get Sky Warp.Counterpunch wrote:What is the general consensus on these Leader Class Seekers?

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

At first I thought they would be nice to fill out my MP collection. I only have Sky Warp and Sunstorm, but than they announced TRU MP Starscream. So that kind of put the Kibosh on that idea.
I think all three look really nice, and thanks to Jetfire I know they are fun Trnasformers, but this year is heavy on the bank account and I gotta trim the fat somewhere. I'll just have to stick to the Legends for my IDW style Seekers.
What are you gonna do Punch?
Yep. Classics has too many combiners that they almost come up to and Hegemon who they tower over (or if you've got the original Classics/Henkei/United Megs, same deal.)Counterpunch wrote:Are they just flat out too big for Classics?

I don't remember the price tag on the coming MP, but Sunstorm was 79.99. I did wrangle him with some coupons and R Us points, but theoretically one could get two CW Leaders for about the same as the one MP.william-james88 wrote:Cobotron wrote:Darn you William James of the 88. Always glad to be handy. My main thing is getting the most for less (like Hasbro BaDum Tish!). And I find us so damn lucky to have MP sized seekers who look pretty damn good, for super cheap in comparison. I have been waiting for a new seeker mold for a while (that number 5 spot on the eventual top 5 seeker molds list has been begging for something better than the alternity seekers). Think about it Cobotron, we are super lucky to actually choose which mold we want in this size. So I say why not have some fun with it. The seekers are cool characters and have (or had) different bodies to distinguish them in the comics so having different versions of them to place on a shelf is pretty optimal.
For me, IF MP starscream is indeed the price TRU computers said it is and IF it is the coronation set, then even if I am not fond of this mold, it will be a worthy purchase and I can differentiate him from the two others. If not, I still get my big Starscream with a crown for cheap to stand on my MP shelf (its a theoretical shelf, I actually keep all my stuff in boxes).

Counterpunch wrote:I'll probably think about it pretty hard, look at a bunch of comparison pictures, and remain uncertain.
Then I'll buy Thundercracker when I see him at retail, hem and haw about it, and put it away in my closet so I don't have to think about it anymore.
Edit: He's bigger than MP Thundercracker. I think I'll be passing on all of them.
