I must say I'm starting to come around to this figure. He looks pretty decent. But I think I might just wait for Ultra Magnus instead. I've already got WFC Prime and he's good enough for me. I just wish Magnus came with that gun though. That looks like a very G1 Magnus gun to me.

Actually now that I'm check the pics of Ultra Magnus, it looks like his sword shares some of the same molding as Prime's gun.

Looks like the handle and blade are added onto the gun. Hopefully those parts can be removed and can use them as a sword and gun separately as well as combined.

i know ultra magnus has some more armor to make him bigger or did they just do that repaint just for the sake of making an optimus prime repainted into ultra magnus again only this time he is not an albino and has a different head

Me don't like this weak gray painting. And when me look on the Wheels... Me bet my Dinobotass, that Takara Tomy do again a much better paintjob on this. But please... without poopy stickers! Do not need another AM Toy! Such a scrap... Which transformers toy is much uglier then an Airachnid? An Airachnid with stickers! :lol:

And again... Promophoto looks much better then the figure itself... :-B

yeah some of those pics make the Prime look less terrible, but I'll still hold out for the hugely improved Magnus, and continue hunting for a WFC Optimus.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

I like him except for his lower arms. They're basically completely hollowed out, which they did a good job hiding in the official pics. Overall, I'll wait for UM, as he seems to fit the mold better than OP.

It's not terrible, it's ok. It looks so much better painted as Ultra Magnus though. His design looks like a Cybertronian version of the G1 character. WfC Optimus and FoC Ultra Magnus will be on my shelf.

This is one of those figures that you buy when it's on sale at Walmart or TJ Maxx just to mess with when youre bored. WFC Prime was so much better in both modes. The truck mode is way too boxy.

What do you mean by extra armour?
I can only see the smokestacks on his shoulders and different painted sections.
Am I missing something obvious?

I must say he looks pretty damn poseable for me though, always a plus when deciding what goes in my display cabinet!

I'm hoping it will look much better in person.

Strange, we usually get them really early in Singapore; haven't seen any in my neck of the woods.
