In my quest to collect and create the most diverse group of combiners from the UW/CW line...I am looking at Legends Class & TAV figures now to be "Sixth Members". Hasbro did a pretty good job designing several of them to integrate with the combiners, but ultimately I have a few left out.
I was wondering if anyone could think of a Legends or TAV figure that would integrate well with Botcon 2016 Predacus or UW-EX Megatronia? --I know a lot of people are saying Override for to go with her, but since Override is an Autobot, that wont work (sorry I'm a stickler for things like that). If any creative minds have any ideas, I'd appreciate it. Thank you.
Wish List of Modern Combiners: Road Caesar, Monstructor & Dinoking (proper size to fiction), Landcross, Guard City, Battle Gaia, & G2 Defensor. Wish List of Titans:Metrotitan,Majin Zarak

Viper might work good with either

Like. I keep looking at him trying to find flaws, and outside of things that you'd expect on bigger figures and aren't really that possible to integrate onto legends-class dudes (like wrist swivels) I really can't find a single thing wrong with him. It's an absolutely perfect update (albeit a little small) that does every single thing right. He amazes me

The Hasbro version does have a rather noticeable amount of pink in its deco, though.Kurona wrote:Anyone else feel that for his scale it's literally impossible for Shockwave to be better?

The clear non-laser hand is a little weird, but I don't mind the pink a bit. It feels appropriate. I'm with Kurona, this Shockwave is the epitome of Legends Class.

Pretty much, especially for a $10 figure. Now if you wanted to spend $30-$50 sure. He's a great little poseable evil genius.Kurona wrote:Anyone else feel that for his scale it's literally impossible for Shockwave to be better?

I'm with both of you King and Kurona. He is one of the greatest legends class figures in recent years, maybe the best of the combiner wars legends

How have we never got a Legends Soundwave?

Most likely because of his gimmick. As of late, we've gotten fewer and fewer G1 or G1-influenced Soundwave toys that have not retained Soundwave's chest-opening/minion gimmick in one way or another. As the Legends class is quite small for this gimmick to be fully utilized with interactive minions, Hasbro probably doesn't see the Legends class as an ideal size for Soundwave to be able to keep his gimmick intact.Kurona wrote:So I was messing around with Shockers and Cracker and I started thinking... we're starting to get a good Season 1 Decepticon cast in Legends scale. Megatron, the seeekers, Shockwave, the insecticons; you could argue that in some scenes CW/UW Devastator is in scale with them. Which leaves me with, of course, a rather obvious question.
How have we never got a Legends Soundwave?
It's possible they could still give us a Legends-sized Soundwave without a minion to interact with him, but I wouldn't be surprised if Hasbro were to see little play value in a Soundwave toy that couldn't fully implement his most iconic gimmick.

... wouldn't it be perfect for a Titan Master to fit in his chest
That sounds amazing actually and I'm really sad it probably won't happen

That being said; I just like fun toys and wouldn't mind seeing a legend Soundwave. Titan masters would work great for the twins but I'm not sure how they'd handle the others. I doubt we'd see a legend figure with any number of TMs at standard retail.
They could however handle all the minions similar to the Prime Soundwave minions. Making them simplified "accessories" might actually show up at retail. I could see a legend class SW with a bunch of 3mm peg holes.
