After a Starscream/Seeker mold, could we be seeing the first of Combiner Wars Prowl? Continuing from Seibertron's exploration of the Indianapolis Children's Museum Transformers: Robots in Disguise exhibit, we have another prototype on display that does not seem to fit any police car we have seen so far (Streetwise, for example, or the Beast Hunters Prowl). UPDATE: As pointed out by Seibertron.com user rickdraco, this does look almost identical to the Beast Hunters simplified Deluxe Smokescreen mold, with the addition of police lights - compare the two images below!

I think we can all agree that if they do a prowl, he needs to be a voyager, and go on devestator. Anything less would be kinda poopy.

Hmm, from the looks of it, that proto is pretty blatantly based on the simplified deluxe prime Smokescreen mold.

Sorry...in my opinion that weird prowl is Devastator notion is best left in the comics. It was really out in left field.

Since there is a combiner prowl coming soon, I doubt Hasbro would put two deluxes on the shelf at the same time. I'm guessing this is either combiner wars Prowl… Or another police character entirely, which may or may not be in rid2015.

I guess my money is on the former. Looks like the right proportions. Still I would be sad if his entire chest is it made out of the car. That is the iconic look for him and jazz… And the other Datsun brothers

Yep, and the police lights are just pegged into that hole at the top of the car. Dead on the same mold otherwise (head notwithstanding which can't be seen). I'd suspect this is either something that got canceled, or something going into RiD 2015.

This is definitely rid2015 not cw as why would there be a beast hunters mold (presumably) in combiner wars subline when it would logically be in Robots in Disguise 2015 giving the fact of 87% similarity between this and simplified deluxe class beast hunters smokescreen

I agree, it does look like it could be a great figure. Just a shame last year we got almost none of the decent figures on mainline release here in the UK, drattted Toysrus got them all as exclusives.

I now strangely want the simplified mold it looks like it could be fun and I like simplified cut throat.

Also this is a face palm moment now that someone pointed out that it's smokescreen ... After all normal smokescreen was retooled into beast hunters prowl and legions smokescreen was turned into legions prowl :lol:

Another repaint/retool? Come on now, we had this already! Why are there not any more new molds for these characters? I feel insulted by this bologna! Who is controlling this?!

Bologna?

Hasbro are obviously trying to get costs covered. A lot of money goes into designing these toys and engineering. Especially if they are to have gimmicks. Repaints and retools cost far less and allow for more toys to be added to the lines.

As I said with the starscream reveal, this could just be to show kids prototyping and how much goes into designing a figure, for all we know this guy will never be released.

Why are we assuming these are prototypes for upcoming figures and not abandoned prototypes that never went beyond that stage?

ill sign on to the cancelled prototypes though (unless they have a phase were a big prototype is made before they are shrank, if that's the case then it's legions prowl)
