Thanks to a post by Yenting Lai on the Transformers Never Die Facebook page, we have some brand new in-hand images of the upcoming Transformers Generations Selects Star Convoy!
Star Convoy is the first Takara initiated Selects figure, and is a retool of the Power of the Primes Optimus Prime figure, featuring new leg armor, chest pieces, shoulders, and headsculpt for the larger robot, and an almost entirely retooled smaller robot. The alternate mode ends up looking about the same as the original mold, with almost all the retooling done to the robot modes.
Star Convoy is shown to have stickers to attach to his trailer, meaning you can decorate the trailer up how you want it to be and have the stickers as straight as you can get them.
Star Convoy is currently scheduled for a November release. Check out the images below, and let us know what you think in the comments section below!

I would so love to have this but I can't justify paying 90$ for a mold I don't like.

I still wish they would have remolded the windows to be more Star Convoy-ish, but I am happy to be getting him. He looks pretty dang good

Don't really like this figure. Too much fake chestery going on.
Was also dissapointed about that with the Power of the Primes mold. Why couldn't one chest be real?

Looks like Japanese reviewers are getting the big guy in now:
So the smaller robot mode resembles the Action Master toy? Huh, never thought about that.

Ugh, I wish I'd been able to pre-order the rest of the set. Now I just gotta hope that Hasbro or BBTS will still have some stock once they're actually released so I won't have to pay triple the price for each figure on Ebay

Did anybody get an email from BBTS canceling the pre-orders for the first two figures in the set? I'm hearing people have and that the Seacons will be Pulse exclusives going forward

It's probably just a temporary thing allowing Pulse first dibs on these figures. I'd imagine other venues will open back up for them later on after Pulse is satisfied with being the only initial outlet for these, but which will probably happen only after the figures' release in January.

I have the first two pre-ordered but I haven't gotten a notification yet. It makes sense since BBTS hasn't put the other sets up yet.

Hm and it just so happen the original G1 mold of Tentakill was redone as a fembot in Beast Wars 2nd. Do we have a potential redeco awaiting us down the line?

I don't see why not, since they did Baldigus from Bruticus in Unite Warriors.Skritz wrote:ThunderThruster wrote:These pics have made me realise that Tentakil is based on the POTP Moonracer mold.

Yeah, but a lot of parts have been changed. In fact, the only unchanged parts I'm spotting are the fists, the waist swivel, hips and back piece with the Combiner peg. Very impressive, and easily the most retooled out of the bunch.
Scuba had better start hiding...

So what's the deal with the Seacon preorders being removed and being made exclusive to Hasbro Pulse? Isn't Pulse for Americans only?

Seems like Pulse wants first dibs on the Seacons. Other stores will probably get their orders put up again once Pulse has been satisfied with their initial exclusivity for these, but which probably won't happen until after their release in January.Skritz wrote:So what's the deal with the Seacon preorders being removed and being made exclusive to Hasbro Pulse? If TFsource removes them then, that's it, no way for me to realistically get all the Seacons.

Guess I'll just...spend the money on some other exclusive or cool retool that's already in stock at an online retailer. Maybe a God Ginrai or Greatshot or something. No seafood lads for me at this rate.

The final two members of the Transformers Generations Selects Seacon team have been unveiled! Check out the new images of OVERBITE and TENTAKIL that were posted earlier today on Takara Tomy Mall, which we mirrored below for your viewing convenience. You can view images of the other four Seacons who combine with Overbite and Tentakil to form the Decepticon Combiner PIRANACON (aka KING POSEIDON) which were previously revealed here: Snaptrap (Turtler), Skalor (Gulf), Seawing (Kraken), and Nautilator (Lobclaw). It is currently unknown if the Seacons will become available for pre-order at other retailers. The first four are currently no longer available through HasbroPulse.com.
