True. However, the Autobots wanting him or not does have a bearing on whether he'd be in an Autobot combinerEmerje wrote:ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:I said he was Decepticon-aligned, not a Decepticon himself. Even if the Autobots don't want him he's only a Decepticon as long as they keep paying him.Heck, his next employer doesn't even need to be a Transformer.

o.supreme wrote:Oh wow, Hasbro hasn't even shipped the first two yet? It's almost the end of March, I thought it would be earlier in the month. I guess I'm glad I got them from another source despite the price. Unfortunately since I got the last 2 on TF source I guess I'll be waiting a while to complete King Poseidon.
ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:Which do people think is a more likely redeco for Wheeljack: Exhaust, or Slicer? Do you think they'd do both, with one being Selects and one being either retail or Amazon?
If they only do one, my money would be on Slicer. Much more of a color difference, and having to work around Marlboro. If they do both, Slicer is definitely the one who had a chance of hitting stores.

Wasn't there a listing or something for Exhaust (not necessarily as a Selects release) already in that same set of rumors/listings that included the Selects Rotorstorm, Bugbite, Hubcap, and Hot House? It was on the Discussion of Upcoming Listings thread I think.
If I'm remembering that right, I'm almost inclined to think that Exhaust will be a Wave 4 retail figure or something, and then Slicer could happen as an exclusive or a Selects release. Slicer would certainly fit the bill if they do another Amazon pack like the Firestormers Alphaforce Counterstrike set, or whatever it was called, the one with G2 Sideswipe.

I'm thinking both. Both is good.
Either way, I'm planning on getting an extra Wheeljack and repainting it into whoever we don't get, or--if we do, in fact, get both--into a fourth character, because I love this Wheeljack mold.

Wolfman Jake wrote:I don't know which one we'll get. The rumored listing for Exhaust hasn't been confirmed as yet, but it could very well be true. As for which one I hope gets released, if not both, I would want it to be Exhaust, if only because we don't have a Classics/Generations style Exhaust yet. We do have the old BotCon Slicer from the Energon Downshift mold, which is a pretty decent representation of the character, being that it was already a pretty decent representation of G1 Wheeljack.
That kid friendly deco. I'm not a fan of the MP's head, but it'd be nice to have a different head than WJ, but I'd prioritize the deco over a different head. It's a bummer that no matter how far Hasbro pushed the deco, it's still take a sticker kit to make it work completely for me.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:I have a question to all of you: just what makes Exhaust Exhaust?

To be fair, the reason they didn't is because Hyperspeed Wheeljack was made before MP Exhaust (thus preceding that whole fiasco) and deliberately avoided directly emulating the look of the Marlboro design.ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:Phillip Morris didn't raise a stink over that.

Mostly the latter, which is exactly why I brought that version of it up.Sabrblade wrote:To be fair, the reason they didn't is because Hyperspeed Wheeljack was made before MP Exhaust (thus preceding that whole fiasco) and deliberately avoided directly emulating the look of the Marlboro design.ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:Phillip Morris didn't raise a stink over that.
