Might even consider TigerTrack if I can find an actual Sunstreaker for a decent price. So I get red, white and yellow in both molds.

The question is, are Cordon and Spin-Out worth the $55 bucks (USD). TFsource is asking for them?

It would be interesting to end up with 6 or even 8 Lambos. Sort of an autobot seeker team if you will.

The Cordon/Spinout set normally cost exactly like 2 deluxes at full price. I have the set and was lucky enough to randomly find Sunstreaker in store. All are worth it and all are worth their full prices.

Sideswipe Deep Cover is also magnificent, way better than the Netflix version. But both are very worth owing because you can have the Sideswipe who go on a mission, and the one that came back. The arm hinges color "missmatch" don't bother me at all and I think it makes the vehicles look better and way boring than being too unified. Among the Deep Covers, I obviously have the regular Siege Sideswipe.

Both trios are very worth owning and worth their full prices IMO. I don't feel the need to own the Earth modes nor the others.

Its just that $55 plus shipping is a bit steep. I curious if they worth that. Since that would be around $27 each + shipping. not sure they are worth that much really.

There's a golden rule. If you have any doubt about getting a toy, don't get it. You'll just end up with buyer remorse. If you fear of missing out, better pay the price now, or either pay double, or give up later.

Best example is for Netflix Sparkless Bot, A.K.A Rusty Barricade. Me and my friend imported ours from Amazon Japan for around 50$CAN shipped EACH. And that's because they were in the same shipping box.
I was sure it was either that, or pay double on Ebay.
Fate later decided that I encountered a lot at my local Walmart at normal retail, meaning 29$CAN plus taxes, so around 35$CAN total.

Also, years ago at the DotM time, I was used to see the Cyberverse Commander figures (DOTM Scouts) on sale. At Walmart, I saw Guzzle for the full 10$CAN price. I told myself, "meh, I'll get it on sale later." That was the ONLY time I ever saw it in store. Now that damn Guzzle is over 60$CAN shipped. Fokmee.
:HEADHURTS:

TlDr; Maybe you can get the Cordon and Spinout set locally and avoid shipping costs. But if you just have a hint of desire to get the set, get it now while there's still time.
Also, if you live in Canada, you could order a set at Geek Stuff for 60$CAN plus taxes and shipping. He's located in Quebec. Look that store up on Facebook or Google.

Happy hunting!

I got the Shattered Glass Optimus and Ratchet set today, even though they're both moulds I have already, overall it's not a bad set. Ratchet's colour scheme pops a lot more than the standard one, and I really like the purple, green and dark blue on Optimus. I may even re-purpose him as a Nemesis Prime of sorts. My set seems to have a QC issue though, Optimus' gun doesn't fold up all the way, there's a little nub of stray plastic that stops the barrel from folding down completely, and its in an awkward place that I'm not sure if my nail file can reach without damaging the rest of the gun.

For other Shattered Glass toys, I likely won't get the whole range, but I'm at least going to get Megatron and Starscream.

I actually had him on pre-order but had to cancel. Since then I opened the PotP deluxe Dinobots I had at work and put together that Volcanicus. I liked it so much that I ordered an upgrade kit. Nevertheless, I bet this one is awesome in hand, much like Selects Abominus is a lot nicer in hand than PotP.

It's definitely more stable whihc is nice, but I'm sure the upgrade kits will help in your case. Unfortunately I've only seen one video review of Selects Abominus, and it was a floppy mess kind of like King Poseidon (mine is quite loose as well). I just hope it is a matter of YMMV, and the Abominus I will get eventually will not have that problem.

...speaking of Abominus...I just got a notice stating "It will be ready to ship in the next few days".... Unfortunately I don't get paid until Thursday, so we have to play the transfer funds game back-and forth this week, to make sure I have enough to cover it.

I do like how they pat themselves on the back for getting it to me *early*. Yes earlier than July 7th, but MUCH later than their original date of March 28th now isn't it???

All I can say is, if there are to be any more Selects from TT in the future, hopefully Pulse just comes straight out with a more accurate pre-order date, instead of what they have done up until now with TT selects.

Last year and this year I was willing to be more patient regarding cancelled and/or delayed orders, due to this worldwide panic that most likely affected shipping and manufacturing in the 2nd half of 2020 and the 1st half of this year. Now that the media and our overlords have deemed things safe enough, things should return to previous levels more or less.

Star Convoy, the first TT Selects was pre-pandemic, and still had a 2 month delay. Pulse should just take whatever day they plan on saying the release date is, and make it 2 months later, a standard for TT Selects

I would extend that line of thinking to any Takara based product. The MP's are in the same boat.

PvP has a review of TT Generations Selects Soundblaster. Interestingly it comes in a hybrid form of TT Siege packaging, and the Walmart 35th anniversary packaging, rather than TT Selects packaging.

Not as lazy as TTM Nemesis Prime's box which still had regular Siege Optimus art on the side and instructions, but proper toy photos on the back and name on front.

That's because TT Soundblaster is only being counted as Selects by Hasbro. Takara themselves are selling Soundblaster as part of their normal Siege line, in packaging nigh-identical to Hasbro's Soundblaster.

In fact, Takara has never actually ever used any of the "TT-GS" ID numbers that we see their Selects figures listed as on Hasbro Pulse. Those ID numbers are all Hasbro-applied to Takara's toys.

Was it ever said to be a TT Selects toy in Japan? If not, then that explains the packaging.

Officially, it's a regular TT Siege exclusive, with the TakaraTomy ID code SG-EX. However, Hasbro considers Siege over, done, plus they'd already released a Soundblaster during Siege for the 35th Anniversary line. So the TT version is labeled an import, thus earning a spot in Hasbro's TT Selects range with the Hasbro ID TT-GS12.

The Walmart 35th anniversary Soundblaster had the double cassette tape deck.

The TakaraTomy release of the toy that came nearly two years later features a more show-accurate tape window, with a cleaner chest and Mercenary badge. This marks the first toy with a major difference between the same Hasbro and TakaraTomy product since the brand unification, and is exclusive to TakaraTomy Mall in Japan. This version was also released under the Generations Selects banner by Hasbro Pulse.

So I stand corrected, it came with the mercenary faction symbol, more show accurate window, and "cleaner chest"...

Galaxy Force, yes. Had a chance of getting it for cheap at a Dutch Convention over 10 years ago, but the lines were too big and I missed out (didn't help I get anxious in large groups). I wanted it because he was presented as a (faux) member of The Thirteen. Siege Soundblaster didn't look as majestic, so skipped him
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

Re: Transformers Generations SELECTS Series Discussion

Well I got my Selects Abominus today, and prepared for the worst based on some of the reviews I had seen. Surprisingly it actually holds together quite well. Everything tabs in nicely. Unfortunately it has the ratchet joints that are normally weak for a Generations Combiner, so getting it to stand is a challenge, but to be expected.

The one piece that is absolutely awful though is Cutthroats bird head. The 3 pieces (upperhead, lower jaw, and crest), will literally fall apart if you just look at them, they feel like a cheap KO. I'm not sure what happened this 2nd time. I checked my PotP Cutthroat and it was fine. Fortunately I'm keeping Abominus in combined mode, but I have to keep an eye on the shelf where he is, I wouldn't be surprised if the bird head just falls off...
Bucket/Want List: Botcon 2016 Customization Class Ratchet (G2 Deco), or Customization Class Ratchet (Marvel Comics Deco) **would also be willing to pay for an Unpainted Botcon 2016 Ratchet, TT Legends Fortress Head (only) with working Electronics

Wish List of Modern Combiners: Road Caesar, Monstructor & Dinoking (proper size to fiction), Landcross, Guard City, Battle Gaia, & G2 Defensor. Wish List of Titans:Metrotitan,Majin Zarak
