Exactly.aronjlove wrote:Isn't the ship time greater than the length of time the virus can live on a surface? Corona-Chan became active as far back as December 2019. China and the WHO were desperately downplaying / covering up the outbreak in January.
Careful, you're not allowed to say the truth anymore.

RID Megatron is only a $40 to $60 figure, well worth it for those who don't have him yet. I just sold a nice complete one loose for $47 plus shipping back in January, and a mint in box (opened) one for $60 plus shipping back in October in the Seibertron Store on eBay.

Aren't the Takara and Hasbro versions of RID Megatron the same paint wise?

The cartoon simplified the toy's chrome gradient since the cartoon did not have the visual capability of accurately and consistently reflecting that gradient in animated form.Sarahthecutevixen wrote:Sabrblade wrote:delete
I double checked How weird I could of sworn in twin dragon mode the middle part of the fin on his necks was black. In megatron mode.
I do know that in galvatron mode there was more silver on his chest on the toy than the anime model

Yeah, animating that kind of gradient is a right bugger to do without CGI.Sabrblade wrote:The cartoon simplified the toy's chrome gradient since the cartoon did not have the visual capability of accurately and consistently reflecting that gradient in animated form.Sarahthecutevixen wrote:Sabrblade wrote:delete

And the other Combiner Wars type torsos don't have official base modes either.
Thing is, the limb Seacons' gun modes are a feature their original toys had; it's not like they were invented just for the Selects versions.Seibertron wrote:ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:To be fair, Snaptrap's G1 toy was the last to be designed out of all the "Scramble City"-type leaders, coming a full year later.

Just odd that they put all of that effort into Targetmaster / gun modes for the other 5 Selects Seacons, would've been awesome to have an official mode for Snaptrap as well at this point, especially since the Targetmaster modes are more-or-less pointless since Piranacon can't hold the Targetmasters properly.

And they're only slightly less incidental to rest of the transformation than on the original toys, if at all, and just as reliant on sticking the Seacons' personal guns on.
Giving Selects Snaptrap/Turtler a base mode, on the other hand, would have required inventing a base mode where one didn't exist before just for the occasion, and might have come at the expense of his more important functions. And again, the other CW/PotP torsos weren't designed with base modes either, even when their original toys had them.
Possibly the former? As far as I could gather your point was "Well they gave all the other Seacons another mode so why didn't they do it for Snaptrap?", and I was trying to answer that.Seibertron wrote:ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:Thing is, the limb Seacons' gun modes are a feature their original toys had; it's not like they were invented just for the Selects versions.Seibertron wrote:ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:To be fair, Snaptrap's G1 toy was the last to be designed out of all the "Scramble City"-type leaders, coming a full year later.

I think you're missing my point or you are just being argumentative for some reason.
And all I was saying was that there are reasons they wouldn't have, and describing what I esteem those reasons to be.Seibertron wrote:All I was saying is that it would have been awesome for them to give Snaptrap a base or weapons mode at long last so that he could have a 4th mode like his fellow Seacons.
I did see that, and it looks awesome. Easily the best 4th mode that's been fanmoded for a CW/PotP torso (the higher accessory count helps a lot).Seibertron wrote:Did you see the pic that I posted above? It's a pretty convincing hover-tank mode ... all it's missing are a couple of tabs for the rear feet to plug into his torso's sides to make everything snap together properly.

Buggered if I can find the pics now though.

First, I never said I couldn't understand why other people think he's a good figure. I just said that I didn't think he was. I am perfectly clear on the concept of others having different opinions than me. Second, since I do think PoTP Grimlock is an underwhelming figure in his official modes, what are the chances that a fan mode (which are rarely better than the official ones for any figure) will not be even worse?ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:I wonder if anyone's come up with a good one for PotP Grimlock. I challenge people to try. Since he seems not to understand how anyone can consider that Grimmy a quality toy, I especially challenge Rodimus Prime to try.
