Interesting...so TFSource finally stopped taking pre-orders for those 2...Not sure if that's a good or bad thing...

Now that you mention it, maybe that's why I had him mistransformed in some of the pictures (most notably any of the beast mode comparison pics with other Seacons and his G1 version ... I re-shot the pics of him in beast mode by himself after realizing I had him mistransformed). His instructions show him with his legs assembled the same way as ours, though I feel like the legs should be positioned the other way as well. However, the single point sticking forward is more like how his G1 toy was, which is how the Generations Selects version is assembled.
They're facing the right way, that's why they painted those bits silver on the feet, it certainly looks disconcerting I grant you, I think it's to help him be closer to the ground

I think people are waiting forto do it justice as he need's 2 parts for the torso, I'd imagine that a proper liokaiser and dinoking would follow once they establish such a system
Yes, I'd really like to see them figure out how to do a Combiner with two deluxes for the torso. I'd even go back for a Devastator that was in scale with the rest of the Combiners, or moreso than his Titan Class figure.

It is definitely possible. I just got the Taikongzhans KO Dev. (CW Scaled down from Voyager to Deluxe scale), and it looks great next to the UW/CW Combiners.
However, as an added bonus, it would be awesome if
/
developed a system whereby for a 6 member combiner, you had 2 deluxes make up the Torso, but still keep the same already established system for the limbs. So while Monstructor or a *proper* Liokaiser couldn't fully integrate with others, they could still limb swap. THAT would be awesome.

Well, if they use a single combiner port, or an upscaled one, it'd give the combiner an ab-crunch

You're not wrong about it looking off, like I said, I found - and still do find - the design dsconcerting, but I think that was kind of a motif they were going for if tentacoolkil's beast mode face is anything to go by

Re: Transformers Generations SELECTS Series Discussion
I think it would be possible to make two slightly bigger deluxes combine into a single Voyager-sized torso with the appropriate CW ports. The question is would it be stable enough?

It's an artifact of how Cutthroat's legs were constructed, really. I suppose they could have been switched, but I haven't seen that done with riveted parts on retools. He does have big heels that way.

Well, the CW port would be for the limbs, not the two torso parts obviously. That would probably require multiple connection points to be strong enough. At least more than a single 'com-boner', which is the technical/crass term for a CW connector.

That would be the original G1/BWII sword, not the new Selects one. Speaking of which, Lobclaw's part forms the lower part of the combined weapon, so with him missing the sword can still be formed.

Transformers Generations Selects God Neptune Teaser From Takara Tomy
- Weapon: Vibro-Axe
And thanks once again to Takara Tomy's official Twitter account, we have a brand new teaser image to share with you. It shows both the recently released King Poseidon's combiner hand, as well as the same hand done in a dark teal color, and a copper colored trident sword.

While the sword belongs to Halfshell, Snaptrap/Turtler's Beast Wars II counterpart, it's likely just there as a placeholder. The tweet itself, when translated from Japanese, states that everything will be made clear on Friday May 15th at noon, Japanese time (10 pm CST). While the teal hand and the sword are pretty much a confirmation that we're getting God Neptune from Takara Tomy in the Generations Selects line, we'll also likely learn if there will be a recolor of the Nautilator/Lobclaw mold included, as the original toy and cartoon never featured one.
Stay tuned to Seibertron, and we'll bring you official word on Takara's next project as soon as we know!

Tentakil is already pretty feminine already thanks to the choice of base mold, being moonracer.

Honestly in hindsight I regret getting into King Poseidon, as God Neptune does look a lot nicer color-wise (and the color scheme did get used for the G1 seacons too in a story). But hey, I'm 4/6 into King Poseidon now so no turning back huh?

At this point I'm almost upset that they expect us to just double dip onthis mold mere weeks after completing king posiedon; it had better be either tremendously easier on the budget, or - if not - they had damn well better do something to justify keeping the price high
