This is definitely how I intend to pose G2 Megatron.

Image
Being able to do that with his tank canon will set him apart that little bit more from the other WFC Megatrons.

Usually I miss out out Pulse pre-orders because I'm sleeping in the middle of the day, but this is the first time I missed out on a figure because I was doing a night shift (Sandstorm). Oh well, Friday night I was still able to get Megatron on Pulse from my phone while I was on break and Sandstorm on BBTS (even though Pulse was still saying to pre-order and then removing it on checkout  ).

I like this little G2 revival hidden inside Generations, makes me wish I picked up more G2 Combiner Wars sets while they were only $100.

Apparently it's because Hasbro can't use the mold for them due to the way VW views war products and thus can't use the mold for an evil character.

So it's less of a "they chose not to" but rather a "they can't do so even if they wanted to"

The first TF Bug Bite wasn't a VW Bug either, but rather a hatchback ;) Eh, what's in a name... Also, is the Bumblebee mold actually licensed? That would be a first since RiD 2001 Side Burn

Volkswagen is a leftover licensee from the Bumblebee movie, so there's that.

Age 3 And Up have preorders open for Select Sandstorm:

https://www.agesthreeandup.ca/collectio ... -exclusive

and G2 Megatron:

https://www.agesthreeandup.ca/collectio ... -exclusive

I don't really like that G2 Megs because he have the wrong body. He need the GIANT chest and the shoulder canon. He's just G1 Megs cosplaying. But that Sandstorm is SEXY and he may be the only Conehead I'll get so I preoedered him.

They are 10$CAN more than the normal 40$CAN voyager price point so it aint so bad. In the end, it will be the same price as a Netflix or special boxset without the little guys. Could be worse. I could have been stuck ordering from Pulse.

I plan on getting Bug Bite because I get this shattered glass Bee vibe from him. Only thing I wish they did different for him, and regular Bee for that matter is give them different weapons. That oversized gun is a Cliffjumper thing from the first episode. They've now used it for, what, 4 figures now?

Maybe because it's molded on the same basic mold as the rest of the figure? Beacause it's it's made in another mold, they could have made a different weapon or even a Generations sized Sam Witwicky with a regular gun. If Walmart Bee would have come with that, I'd be all over it.

Though if you pick up the Centurion Drone set you don't even need the stock gun, or you can just configure it into something else. Cliffjumper gets his bazooka, Hubcap gets the smaller hand canons, and Bee gets his pistol.

That would make sense, I believe all 5 parts of the gun are black plastic like the rest of the mold "skeleton", so they get reproduced while the car color and/or shell and the head can be swapped out. My guess is the black plastic mold is laid out in a way that they couldn't gate off the gun parts, otherwise I fully would have expected Hasbro to have done that already.

Yay for Black Roritchi, and ordered! It is kind of neat that G2 Megs and Sandstorm had separate reveals/releases, making the last 2 TF Tuesdays truly surprises, unless they get leaked within the next few days.

It's neat that they kept his original Japanese name instead of changing it to something like "Goldtrack" or something.
