I'm not sure what happened this 2nd time. I checked my PotP Cutthroat and it was fine. Fortunately I'm keeping Abominus in combined mode, but I have to keep an eye on the shelf where he is, I wouldn't be surprised if the bird head just falls off...
I finally got around to opening mine this past weekend. Hun-Gurrr has an iffy shoulder ratchet on one side, but it doesn't really affect the combined mode too much. I can't get Selects Abominus to stand any better than I could the PotP version, which is a shame, but I love the touches Takara put on this set, like the new combiner hands and feet, which are the best combiner hands and feet yet, the animation accurate touches, like the new chest piece and the purple helmet. It's also nice that the hands and feet are all the same color now. It's also nice to be rid of the stickers on Hun-Gurr. I'm glad to have upgraded, as I will always differ to the more animation accurate version, but that's not everyone's preference, and I don't think the altered molds and accessories are enough to make this a "must buy" if the deco isn't a clear upgrade for someone.
