I'm more concerned about the box from Pulse being able to hold Scorponok, Omega Supreme, and Zarak; I have space issues. For those that have busted out Zarak, is the main body all in one piece, or do you have to connect the tail like on Scorponok?
I would think it's all in one piece, but the tail's folded out: a video review showed he's boxed in robot mode, but with the head off.

Just a heads up to people who are getting it, there are some parts on both headmasters that are prone to falling off, the tiny headmasters arms have fallen off in the big bodies' neck port and the small black panels on the sides of the large head/red arm shield/panels fall off pretty easily if you move them.
Already almost lost the tiny headmasters' arms already so wanted to bring it to everyone's attention.

Other than that, the main body is great. Tight joints, even better than ER Scorp. Guessing it was all the retooling of the head, which looks amazing,I just won't be transforming it very often.
Also now that we have generations updates for all 9 Destron Generals, some 3p company is leaving money on the table not giving us capes, accessories, and royal garb for these guys.

My wife actually designed the shelf, and my father-in-law helped me install. He is the king of overcaution when it comes to construction. We are helping him build a deck. I'd say he uses 2-3 times more screws and nails than code requires, and extra supports. When we put that shelf up, he had to be absolutely certain the screws were going into studs, and it is one of the most secure shelves I've seen. We have others placed throughout the garage for storage. We recently had to remove one to move an appliance. After removing all the screws, the shelf stayed attached to the wall merely by friction! And it took more force than expected to pry it from the wall, so yeah, I think we are pretty safe. Now a good earthquake could probably cause some of the smaller toys to take a dive, so getting a piece of clear solid plastic is my next goal (since transparent aluminum hasn't been invented yet

Overlord needs to be redone as a commander.
Ginrai as well the TR one was horrible. Ginrai should be a commander by himself with a voyager Godbomber included in the box. That pack could have its own price point.

That'd make him tower over HasLab Victory Saber. God Ginrai is supposed to be the same height as Star Saber and other normal-sized Combiners. The Legends one we got was the right size, but it's main problem was its over-engineering that made it very unstable. A more solidly-constructed one at the same size is what we need.-Kanrabat- wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Everyone else does too.ZeroWolf wrote:I feel very sorry for Overlord in those picturesGod Ginrai just towers over him

The only retools we get out of Selects are small tooling changes like new heads and such.AllNewSuperRobot wrote:Maybe Selects could give us a Overlord (heavy) retool? Or is the line strictly redecos??
Takara were the ones who did the heavy retools for Selects, but they ended their line.

From Hasbro's perspective, they'd be like "We just did a perfectly good Overlord back in Titans Return." And he's no big name character they'd be willing to redo every year like Megatron and Starscream.AllNewSuperRobot wrote:I see. So the chances of a brand new Overlord (or even Thunderwing) are very slim, without any onscreen representation.

Indeed. That's the flipside to the eternal reuse of Megatron and Prime in the shows. A lot of other characters have been sidelined as they keep the same leaders all the time.
I just did some checking for my own curiosity. Overlord hasn't been onscreen since Zone(1990) - 32 years now. Meanwhile, Thunderwing has never been onscreen. Straxus too. But I talk about those two specifically, as both would fit with Commander Class figures.

Technically, Overlord has had screentime more recently by being in the Prime Wars Machinima stuff.AllNewSuperRobot wrote:Sabrblade wrote:From Hasbro's perspective, they'd be like "We just did a perfectly good Overlord back in Titans Return." Now whether that representation is actually helpful is a different story.

The main challenge will be to find a way to have the right parts count for the pricepoint. Ideally, Ginrai should be a leader. But how to respect the leader budget when leader Optimus came with a margarine container as a trailer? But if Ultra Magnus was possible, I don't see how a Ginrai in the same size as Magnus couldn't be possible. At worst, he could be a Commander simply due to the parts count. Add a voyager "weaponizer" Godbomber and I don't think he'll be that huge. He'll be on scale.

Was that ever confirmed, or just assumed since nothing new has been announced in quite a while? Since "Brand Unification" starting with PotP, the few unique offerings we got from TT Selects (as opposed to Hasbro Selects), really filled in some nice wants in my collection. The prospect of that ending is very sad indeed.
I mean Hasbro offering BZ was great for sure, but future offerings like the idea of a Dinoking/Monstructor that would be heavy retools of PotP Dinobots and Terrorcons probably isn't feasible via Hasbro, only TT would tackle such a challenge. Or Haslab...which presents other challenges.

The tie-in manga was finished, and that's usually a sign of no future projects for the time being.

In addition to what Nemesis Primal said about Foghorn Overlord being in Machinima's Prime Wars Trilogy cartoon, Thunderwing did get some motion picture action in Transformers Prime: The Game, which features some rather cinematic cutscenes and almost all the same voice cast as the show (though, no toy was ever made of him, either).AllNewSuperRobot wrote:Sabrblade wrote:From Hasbro's perspective, they'd be like "We just did a perfectly good Overlord back in Titans Return."
