Odd that Skywarp doesn't come with null rays. I feel like these core weapons are meant to form hilts for bigger energon weapons.

That, or make her a Brainmaster with the brain figure taking cues from her design and the faceplate being her armored face, and then she plugs into the robot body. Plus, you could repaint this version into an "Apex Armor" figure and use the brainmaster as Miko for Selects. The major advantage I think to making Sari a Brainmaster-styled figure would be that we'd get a smaller section that'd be good for referencing how small she was and make the armor seem a lot more important. That and it'd add to playability of the future Brainmasters (that I seriously hope are coming to compliment Victory Saber and the rumored Deathsaurus)

They could saving that aspect for Ransack...
I wouldn't bet on it. The originals have very similar transformations and designs, with their size being the main difference. I think the most likely form for Ransack is a straight redeco of Kickback in Generations Selects.
I mean, the stock images for the repack didn't show any new accessories, but technically Galvatron already comes with a large clear plastic accessory anyway via his cannon, so....o.supreme wrote:I wonder if Leader Class Glavatron's accessories will change at all to have a Legacy Gimmick weapon ?
Core Class Sari would be an instant purchase, take my money.Sentinel_Primal wrote:I just had a possibly weird idea, but what if we got Sari from Animated reimagined as a Pretender like this Iguanus? So she'd look like her upgraded form in bot mode and maybe give her a scooter alt mode to reference her jetpack. She'd be a bit too big for proper Animated scale, but if they made her a full Cybertronian like they have with Minerva, I don't see any issue with it.

As for Iguanacus, I never had any G1 attachment to this one, so I can't say that it pulls my interest. It looks better than the G1 figure, but all the old pretenders had a kind of childish look to them. Maybe it was because the shells had only those 2 articulation points.

Does anyone know the name of the box designer and or the artist? Because they're turning out great.

Ohh, and Iguanus is fantastic. Wasn't planning on getting him, but giving him his Pretender shell as his robot mode, and his inner robot's alt mode is a genius move. The bike also looks really cool.
Also just noticed that Skywarp's weapon is actually Core Hot Rod's sword hilt as pictured in his box art:

Which means the gimmick of the core class will apparently be combing weapons into other larger weapons.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. I admit I've been guilty on rare occasions of not reading articles all the way to the end, but I could swear when I first read it it went like this:
"These two round out the first wave of Legacy's core class."
Missing details in the middle is not something I am known for. Still, (not saying this is the case), I'm sure articles occasionally need to be edited, and without showing a later edit date, there's no way to know.

Iguanus' gun is in there too in-between the Hot Rod blade and the Skywarp hilt, whoever did this art just colored it all to match Hot Rod.Overcracker wrote:Also just noticed that Skywarp's weapon is actually Core Hot Rod's sword hilt as pictured in his box art:

Also taking another look at Iguanus, the image of his bike mode is definitely slightly mistransformed, since we can see the hole in the tail that it looks like those tabs on his outer legs are supposed to go into, so it may have a more cohesive look when everything is tabbed in right.

Rtron wrote:Loving Iguanus' bot mode, although still sad we don't get a true Pretender comeback. As someone else said, core class inner robot that hides in the chest of a bigger robot is all we need. They can be sold separately and everything.
Which is why as much as I like the look of this new Iguanus, it saddens me that it looks like we won't be getting articulated Pretender shells.
And I can't see them selling them separately. Pretender shells that don't transform? That's not going to go well on shelves. If they do do it though, it'll be just our luck they're Selects and over priced to screw over the Pretender fans.

Think I prefer G1s alt mode but thats because I'm odd like that -*Iguanus could always steal legacy prime arcees or her eventual repaints weapon for his bot mode as a bonus.

Not at all, I think it would be a fun fan mode if it were possible somehow. I made PotP Cindersaur a backpack for Abominus, so why not?

I was pretty sure we weren't getting proper Pretenders with the shells, so at least Iguanus and any others that might follow could have had better representation. But as it is, it's pretty decent for a core class figure.

I was just thinking of this the other day. I was also thinking similar things for armored Kicker, armored Verity and Apex Armor Miko as well. So you could have Daniel, Spike (assuming he gets his own figure), Sari, Kicker, Verity and Miko all armored up. If it's easy to open up the armors and swap the pilots then you can purchase multiples and change them out for anyone provided someone makes them. Marissa? Carly? Sparkplug? Raul? Chip? Alexis? Fowler? Jack? Raph? Maybe even figures for T-AI, Artemis and even Alice that could also transform into vehicles/animals. Although I don't exactly know how Alice would work if she looked like her human mode.
We're probably just lucky we're getting an exosuit though. It's just a way to keep the core class going longer. Just sprinkle in a few here and there while they do core sized figures for popular characters and the few characters that they'll do that need to be that size.

I do love me some combining weapons, though it's also annoying that two figures are going to have to go weaponless just so a crappy Hot Rod can have a bigger sword handle. Have a feeling that sword is going to an Optimus figure.
