Don't worry they will. Remember, this isn't going to be Armada Megatron...this is going to be Geewunized Armada Megatron. Same with Skyquake...the Prime aesthetic was amazing and very accurate to the cartoon in a lot of cases. This will be Geewunized Skyquake...if Bulkhead, Knockout, and Arcee are any indication, I have little faith this won't be a giant clusterf&%k.
Override did anyway, but that's a pretty small sample size.

Plus if Hasbro wanted they could also use them as the basis for a Steven Universe collab figure set with the main gimmick being the combination/fusion form! Why yes, I did finally get around to watching that show, why do you ask?

While there are a lot of listings to go through, all found through Walmart thanks to fellow Seibertronian JTprime17 and TF fan HyperShauta, I chose Tarn as the one in the header because he is a long time coming. Also, unlike every other listing, this would be the first official transforming toy for this character. The rest of the list has some core class Dinos, Leo Prime from the Japanese Beast Wars, Megatron from Armada, Skyquake from Prime and a lot more, all listed below. Those would be for the second year of the Legacy line.

Wow!…. So many things from there I want.
Hot Shot poses an interesting question. We’ve laready gotten updates to Armada and Cybertron Defense….
Which probably means regular Cyb HR. Which I would be all in for.
Leo Prime very interesting. Retool of Tigatron maybe?
Skywake also on the yes list.
and Armada Megs, hopefully not another retool of Siege Megs.

The last CHUG Armada Hot Shot figure was fourteen years ago, and nowhere near contemporary standards for Generations figures. I would bet that's the design we're getting, and the one I'm hoping for, even though I have the Universe toy.

I don't think there's any reason to assume that. To date, the only core figures in SS86 have been smaller scaled characters, and both Kingdom and Legacy had G1 bots. There are rumors of core Ratchet and Ironhide in that line, but they haven't been seen, and it would be weird for those to be the only scaled down ones.
As for the Deluxe Junkion, it might not even be a movie character, though we do have other deluxe bikes.
Ah any rate, too soon to say, no specific info one way or the other.

We were told the design team wanted to do Hot Rod in magenta for SS86, but higher ups wouldn't let them so the Velocitron line gives them somewhere to put the figure design they already prepared and wanted to do.
Emerje
So it's most likely a Hot Rod redeco then? Which Is fine I guess and makes sense financially, I like your Cybertron color suggestion but think it would be better utilized on the Ford GT body. IMO Hot Rod's design should stay unique to him and they seriously need to infuse more body types into the line because I grow tired of everything being a Datsun or Lamborghini variant. lol
That said I suppose they could also reuse Knockout mold but also wouldn't mind seeing a Mustang utilized.
Depending on the mold and deco I may get this one out of them all because it stands to be the only one that might appeal to me.
Talking about two different figures here. Hot Shot can't be a Hot Rod repaint since he's a Deluxe.
We were told Legacy would be one line, not one year. Next year will probably have a new subtitle (Ev) without actually changing the weapon theme.
The forth figure in wave 1 will probably be a repack from a previous wave.

Fun thought experiment that some people will hate: since this is still Legacy, what sorts of Energon weapons are some of these guys gonna have? Some initial thoughts of mine:
Core Dinobots: Swords are the most likely accessory here, I would think, maybe combining Energon swords?
Core Soundblaster: presumably no Energon weapon due to being a Soundwave repaint, which is supported by G2 Megatron but refuted by Skywarp. Hmm.
Deluxe "Junkion 1": not a clue without knowing who it is.
Deluxe Needlenose: Umm...Spinister came with guns inspired by his Targetmasters that were just regular guns, maybe that'll happen again? We need to see Pointblank, that'll help.
Deluxe Hot Shot: Considering Eject coming with Blaster, the most likely option here may be an Energon-enhanced Jolt, unless they give him the Star Saber.
Voyager Leo Prime: ...not a clue, not familiar enough with the character to even have a guess. All his weapons are usually integrated flip-out stuff, right?
Voyager Tarn: Please don't be dumb enough to make the twin fusion cannon clear plastic, paint it and/or give him a separate gun to be the Energon one.
Leader Armada Megs: Accessory-wise, Megatron has the options of including Leader-1 (with a gun mode), his shiv, and presumably any of the 3 combined Minicon weapons as one of the few characters that actually wielded them all...and again, considering Eject, any of those could be made Energon.
Leader Prime Skyquake: I'm operating on the assumption that this guy (and his brother we all probably know is coming) has to be a big Voyager that's packing his large gun + a sword and bombs for said brother repaint like how Elita already has Minerva's gun in order to fit as a Leader, so...Energon bombs? Energon sword maybe? I would rather these two have lightsabers instead of regular swords as long as it means their respective BFGs aren't clear plastic again please.

It occurred to me recently that they're basically ripping off the gimmick of Robot Masters where everyone was given random extra weapons. Some where clear, some were chromed clear plastic, some where missile launchers.

I certainly hope not. That Megatron mold was terrible, in robot mode at least. I hope we get a new mold, or I'll even take the ER mold with extra parts like SG over the CW leader.o.supreme wrote:Leader-1 didn't come with CW Armada Megatron, kind of doubt it will come with this one. Well, I Like it enough to enhance it with the full Reprolabels treatment.
He's not on the "best Megatrons" shelf though.

The Transformers toylines made with the intention to sell to kids are always thought of as gimmick first. Been that way since G1 and all the myriad of sublines (action masters, headmasters, micromasters, ect). Intetresting how that spirit has remained the same almost 40 years on.

Video Review for Transformers Legacy Core Class Shockwave
Posted by william-james88 Mon Jun 27, 2022 1:17 am
chuckdawg1999 wrote:I've been anticipating getting Shockwave since the figure was first announced. If you're familiar with the Siege version of Shockwave then its vehicle mode will be familiar. I do like the included landing strut that helps keep the ship balanced and can be folded down at a 90-degree angle from the main fuselage to form a handle for proper swooshing. Transformation is fun with the dropping hips resulting in a staggered looking ship mode. Shockwave is a fun little figure and a great addition to the Core Class line.

They don't make Leaders that big anymore so I wouldn't worry about that. He'll be a tall Voyager with add on parts (based on Tidal Wave?) or be bulked out like Galvatron (big ol' shoulder treads). He has two easy built in repaints (Galvatron and Megazarak) so he doesn't really need to share anything with anyone else, though I do wonder how people feel about him being used to make an interpretation of IDW Fort Max?
It also occurs to me that Legacy Leader-1 and Drill Bit could share tooling if they choose to make them, might improve their chances of being made.
