No no, see, the original G2 Laser Optimus from the 90s had no flames on its truck nose. The colors just faded from black to red in a smooth gradient:RodimusPrimeUkraine1 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Those are Movie Optimus flames.

No it's just a stylization of the front of the color split between red and black on the front of the origional.

Baldigus. Is that Ruination?

Right away I thought it was a pricing error but there it was clear as day on the freakin' peg. So I'm highly considering returning this guy with the hopes of maybe a mark down or lucky to make it to clearance but FRAK that much...? And I loved for a moment looking at all the various prices for Deluxe size figures...$22...$24....

I got him earlier this week and opened him up yesterday.
He doesn't get as tabby as other Legacy figures, which results in a few bits being left a bit loose when transformed, nothing figure ruining, but not as good as Dragstrip.
Transformation is bog standard for a car. Lower legs open up and fold in half etc etc.
Putting him into leg mode involves folding the hood and windscreen up. Yeah, that's it.
Because he doesn't tab together tightly as others, getting him to connect to Menasor was a bit troublesome. There are two pegs at the top and two notches further down which all need to line up, the loosey goosey-ness (again it's only a minor looseness not anything major) made it a bit hard to get all four to line up.
Eventually I got him connected and ... yeah. He faces backwards. I know this is cartoon accuracy but for display purposes Wildrider and Breakdown will essentially not be seen and are virtually pointless.

He's a gap filler. All the stability is in the feet and ratcheted ankle tilts.

We already knew it stands on it's own without cars attached. It's kind of a strange question.

Just because we know it stands on its own doesn't mean it feels completely stable. I can get plenty of my figures to stand for a picture without them feeling all that sturdy. That's not even considering how the stability would be affected with both car arms and weapons outstretched. Perhaps with car arms and no car legs, certain poses would be harder to do because figure would be top heavy. I'm not sure what you think is strange about the question

Maybe its the plethora of pictures as Menasor I've seen either on Youtube or static photos. That it stands with no issues doesn't seem to be an issue (to me).
