Can't be since it's a deluxe. He'd have to be Voyager-sized and they'd have to bring out a new figure for Hook to make him a leg for Devastator. Not saying it won't ever happen, but it's clearly not in Hasbro's cards, currently.

My guess is it's a re-release of the ER toy, maybe with a better head sculpt. I think they'd specify if it was Beasties Prowl, RiD, Energon, or Animated.

Still waiting on an Earth mode Hound, Hasbro.

Prowl is my main man. But damn if we don't need that guy (Hound) right now. In fact, I would have thought Prowl would be SS86 since we're getting a ginchy new Ironhide.

Finally got a Red Cog. . Target also had Cybertron Metroplex. Despite not wanting it....I know just seeing something that big is tempting, but my resolve was strong. I passed. I now know I'm ok not having this ( the first Titan I have skipped), unless there is a extreme discount similar to what happened with The Ark.

I meant to add to my post that I was joking, hasbro may want to add more IDW but I doubt they would go as far as making Prowlastator in toy form

My thoughts:
-Bomb-Burst happening is cool, the more Pretenders they make the closer Octopunch gets. Curious to see how the bat features will impact the jet mode.
-Skar is...weird, if it's the obscure Dinobot I'll consider it but a second version of Doubledealer's bat seems odd and uncalled for.
-Nice to see Shrapnel, guess they're saving the best Insecticon for last.
-Kinda surprised to see Crosscut at retail, although now that I think about it I guess he was before.
-The distinct lack of PR on that Prowl, combined with the "Animated is coming" confirmation, means I'm really gonna be annoyed if this is another new Datsun mold for no reason.
-More mystery Junkions, now in 2 size classes? The plot thickens...
-No need for the Ramjet PR myself but very happy on the behalf of those who need it
-BLUDGEON (guaranteed get, no explanation needed)

Ruination needs Scramble City for accuracy though, so Bruticus needs to keep Scramble City by extension.

As long as new Minicons have pegs on them instead of ports, then Swindle would be able to interact with not just Screamer but also anyone with 5 mm ports, which is probably the way to go at this point. Having that Matrix/Star Saber interactivity would be cool, I hadn't even thought about that.

I would argue that Energon Prowl should be at a higher tier than those other two since Energon Prowl was at least a show character, whereas BW and Armada were toy-only.

Been pondering about Deluxe Prowl.

Possibilities include
1. G1 Prowl (Earthrise Datsun)
2. BW II Prowl
3. Energon Prowl
4. Universe 1.0 Prowl
5. Animated Prowl
6. Prime Prowl

Its not likely to be a Datsun re-release, since it has no PR (Package Refresh) like RamJet for instance, next to the name. Which means its likely an entirely new mold.

2. As much as I’d like BWII Prowl to go with BWII Skywarp, its not very likely.

Armada Prowl was a Minicon that tunred into a police sports car and a gun. highly unlikely to be that.

3. Energon Prowl, Seems unlikely since that would just be to close to Mirage. He’s a F1 type car.

4. Universe 1.0 was a repainted Armada Red Alert, so would be kind of interesting to get a SUV Prowl. But seems a bit too obscure.

5. Animated Prowl, looks very promising since it can be probably made out of the Legacy Arcee mold, with minor tooling.

6. Prime Prowl is just a stylized G1 Prowl, so would look too close to a Earthrise Datsun if they G1-ified him.



1 or 5 seem the most likely.

Yeah, the lack of "Pr" at the end of the Prowl listing means it's not a rerelease of Siege or ER Prowl. I doubt it's RID Prowl either since we could use a cool down on Lambos (particularly police ones) IMO.

I hope the Deluxe Junkion is a pretool (prepaint?) of Earth mode Hound as Detritus. Kinda curious why they put a 2 at the end of the listing.

I got much to agree with here, but I do want to point out that the Ironhide/Prowl pack is also rare, meaning many people don;t have an Earth mode Prowl in their collections, even if I would have liked to see Hound get a go first.

Actually, you might be on to something with the Prowl with a new head sculpt idea. Hasbro messed up with Earthrise Prowl by using Bluestreak's head instead of his own. I forgot, but when I got Earthrise Prowl, I swapped his head with Siege Prowl's head for my display, so that both Prowl and Bluestreak would have their animation accurate head designs. So, if they release Earthrise Prowl again in Legacy with a new head, that might be enough to disqualify it from being a "package refresh" if it's a modified sculpt. I'd be even happier if they added back a few more paint apps for more cartoon and/or G1 toy details.

I know those ER sets were rare, hence SS86 Ironhide and this Ramjet rerelease, I just don't want Hasbro to turn around and make a brand new Datsun mold again because of it, and I personally am vastly more excited by the possibility of Animated Prowl than I ever would be for any sort of G1 Prowl. If G1 Prowl needs an additional release, I posit that it should either be a straight rerelease or a repaint/new head retool in SS86/Buzzworthy.

If that really does end up being G1 Prowl again then that 2 pack with Ironhide is going to plummet in price on the aftermarket.

Or if This new Prowl is indeed IDW Prowl? We did get Blurr so far.

Or if it's a brand new Datsun mold that's very G1-like, so it's all square with a long hood instead of the ER version, which was close, but not really. Just like Ironhide.

I would be very disappointed if we got an animated prowl and it was made with the prime arcee mold. I just don't see how that wouldn't suck. Unless they redid the entire torso maybe

Either way, the actual figure has white biceps and a black piece for the joint.
Between that and the clear canopy, just will be interesting to see if those really happen with this new release.

Probably because both it and a few other Armada-redecoed non-show Energon exclusives just had that similar look and feel to the Universe toys. They may have been Energon toys, but they sure felt like they belonged with Universe.
