Surprised to see him and Skyquake both at retail rather than 1 as an exclusive, hopefully that means that they both have their accurate weapon loadouts.

To bad Pointblank's 3rd Party counterpart is Masterpiece size.
Really? He said the plastic on Burn Out felt 'cheap' next to Skids. Is that even credible? As far as Pointblank he MAY have a point on the plastic, which I'd need to verify myself anyway, he's on about Peacemaker that we know is how he is due to budget. How does he NOT know this?

Of late he's been nitpicky, in my opinion. I commented on his Burn Out review, but I didn't bother on Pointblank.

As to allowing the publicization of figure reviews from dodgey sources? Well, in the end that's seibertron's business. Just like it's Hasbro's business if they don't want to prevent leaks and pilfering from their factory floors, in return for some early 'buzz' on their work.
Still - it leaves a sour taste in the mouths of everyone who doesn't have a network of internal spies and thieves in the factories to give them the edge. Like with hacks and cheats in online games, it conveys the bad message: "if you can't beat the cheaters, join 'em".

UGH Watching the pointblank video and reading so many people bitch bitch bitch, look they don't have to be making these figures at all, and honestly I hope they stop making them (I know they won't but one can hope) just to shut up so many whiny bitchy fanboys. I love Transformers dearly, they were a HUGE part if what got me through family issues in the 80's and they are one of my passions but to shut others up and make them miserable I would sacrifice something I love to prove that point.
Just be GRATEFUL..
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

Same here. I can be influenced, but only if I have some doubts at the very start. Especially when the thing I want is at double or triple the price on the secondary market.
Even then, I often bought "hated" toys that turn out amazing, and other times I bought toys that was deemed the "second coming of Jesus" but I found them to be just "meh" or horrible.
I say reviews are just a guide, not the absolute.

Studio Series Stinger was the last time I let an outside review truly sway my opinion. It was a mold reviews did not like, but I got it 2 years later and truly loved it, and that was that.
I am still excited for Skullgrin though

Well...I probably wouldn't quite put it that way, but I agree. Toy reviewers, like critics of any kind, are just sharing an opinion, which anyone can do. I've never been influenced by them.
What's odd is, even to this day, movie and TV critics are still revered for some reason. Sharing an opinion is not a special skill. It's not always the case, but it's often likely that if a critic dosen't like a movie or TV show, then it's something I will like, and Vice Versa.

DeathReviews wrote:Boo on soft plastic in general. The only time I can see the excuse of using it is on parts that might get a lot of stress, and need some flexibility to keep them from snapping. But that doesn't seem to be the case with Legacy Skullgrin. None of the parts where they used soft plastic would seem to 'benefit' from it having been used. Especially those weapon accessories. Like Blitzwing's sword, there was no reason to use the rubbery materials, they just went cheap and lazy.
I have Blitzwing, and reviewed him. I didn't notice that he had a 'rubbery' sword, almost would have to be looking for such a thing to notice. it doesn't bend when you put it in his hand...what else might one be doing with it?

At this point arguing about it is just beating a dead horse. I will get my figures through legit channels and that's all I can control.

You are the furthest from a fanboy, fanboys are toxic and literally destroy everything pleasant about whatever they are fans of, this you are not. Just look at what the fanboys have done to Star Wars and other franchises.
You are one of the few youtubers I actually respect and I do watch your videos. Most of the other clowns are attention whores.
Yes I said it, I have dealt with way too many people that claimed to be one way then turned out to be only in it for the attention they get.

I don't bullshit, I call it like I observe it and unfortunately there are too many mindless people out there who can't form their own conclusions on things and have to rely on others opinions/views to do so.

I appreciate this sites photo stills from reviewers so I dont have to watch or give credit to them -and often it might keep the transformation or a little something as a surprise. Having said that I generally dislike most youtubers hahaha but in fairness to some of the major dubious source reviewers I think they have become better at reviews over the years (Tonton/Pvp). Then there is the reviewers that have the ability to grate the wrong way and I'd go out of my way to not see them when even Gifs of their face make me vomit a little.
As for Skullgrin, I'm not keen on the alt mode lump/exposed midsection having to be badly hidden by the swords and lack of a jaw. The impulse not buying was his size compared to the core pretender figures. Having said that with Thunderwing, Skyshadow, Metalhawk and baynus Bludgeon deluxes in my collection gives me a reason to pick him up, at least on sale anyways. Scratch that, I'm just rewatching Guyver and a Zoanoid looking bot has become a buy regardless of my dislikes and the soft plastic.

Yeah. I know it's there, but I mostly ignore it, for the exact reason Burn mentioned. So many YT just want to promote themselves. There are actually 3 or 4 I can think of that are actually active members here who do more than post videos which is nice, and I'll give them active praise.
It's funny also because of the many dozens of toy reviewers I don't subscribe to any of them, but the Algorithm always brings up them up, so I don't really have to search or wonder what they are posting.

I can only speak for myself...I'm a poster first and foremost. I started doing YouTube videos to get ready for my stop motion series I've been quietly working on for years. But - if you're going to do something, try to do it the best you can.
There was mention made of 'self-promotion' and non-engagement. I'm not really that guy. I just love this stuff. Sure, I'd like to have a big audience. I'd like to speak on my creations and the subject of those creations. There aren't a lot of outlets in this hobby - which can be very lonely. We're all social creatures at the end of the day.

Yes. Transformers based. Stop Motion. Series. In production (barely lol). But writing has been happening for a year and a half.
