Please don't. I did finally break down and buy from a UK seller because it was the cheapest and I figured if I don't do it now he'll only clime in price. Or I'll have to wait for some variation in a different packaging. Luckily I had some PayPal Money I didn't even know about/forgotten so I figured why not if it's not technically out of pocket.
you gotta do what you gotta do with some Bots and Cosmos is one of those for me.
Well - for my sake, I hope Hasbro repents and does a re-issue, so those of us who aren't willing to pay the Ebay/overseas markup can get this figure.
But on the other hand, that would mean folks like you, who DID pay the scalper prices, would wind up eating the difference. The way it's going, some people are bound to get scroo'd....
Yeah...I think it's the folks expecting a like for like reissue.

We had three Stunticons in a wave during Combiner Wars. I understand variety and diversity, but then we end up with situations where a number of people will never have a complete Menasor.
And a lot of people still didn't get Menasor in CW because their stores skipped Wave 2 and moved onto wave 3. But its also the factors that Till-all-r1 says above me. Basically, if Hasbro could have done an all Stunticon wave...they would have done it. That they didn't is its own proof. This (outside of a boxset) was the only way to handle them at retail.

No this wasn't the only way, Hasbro could've done better and they didn't. Now you have people looking for Motormasters or Wildriders hoping to see Breakdown sooner than later.
Till-all-R1 wrote:Also how do you "miss" a Commander Class box? I can understand a DLX or core being lost somewhere out of place but the size box of a CC isn't something you would generally look over and not see. lol

Maybe not...then again...
I can recall instances where BOTH have occurred. Wave 5 of TR Deluxe (Twin Twist, Misfire, Windblade)was a total miss at US retail (but ended up in some clearance retailers), Hasbro never did right on that. However Wave 2 of PotP (Sludge, Snarl , Moonracer etc...) Hasbro did actually recognize the shortage in a press release and manufactured more (I guess they believed they had enough demand to fulfill another MOQ). Same goes for all the CC and Titan reissues of the past 3 years.
Now... I know for example the Netflix Soundwave is a sore spot with many who never got one. I'm unsure if Walmart will have the same stranglehold on Cosmos that they do on that (unable to be reissued through other retailers...). But if you can justify the price to import one, go for it. Or, at least as has been mentioned, try to network with fans. You wont be able to get it for the same price as you would in store, but many are willing to ship at cost.
I would even contact anyone I see in here complaining about finding him if I found one (since everybody I actually know has one) and send it to them for cost - but there are none to be found - rather than them not get the figure they want to get, because I'm that kind of guy. But I don't get the 'Hasbro make some Cosmos' cuz I didn't get him' stuff. It ain't gonna happen.

Still, for me, the most disappointing Lio Convoy toy is the MP, because it didn't come with Artemis as promised; if it had, I'd have bought it. Maybe her exclusion invoked some divine curse that will make all of his subsequent toys letdowns until it's lifted. There's precedent: Ironhide suffered a curse that prevented his ever getting a proper toy for decades, even screwing up his Masterpiece, right?
Maybe he'll end up having crossover appeal with Narnia fans who collected toys from The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe movie, but were disappointed Aslan didn't stick to the books' coloration.

The case is 2 Leo primes and 1 Tarn. So if you only saw 1leo prime at either of those locations, then it sold as well as Tarn.
o.supreme wrote:My Targets are getting Allspark as well, and they are just sitting. Much like Cyberverse before it.
The one thing I thought was crazy was that a few weeks ago, the SS Voyager Ironhide/Galvatron cases were clogging my Target shelves as well. They all finally sold thanks to sales. So I was hoping they'd make room for Legacy Evolution. Nope, they ordered more cases of SS Ironhide and Galvatron
AcademyofDrX wrote:As for Legacy Evolution, didn't someone say they haven't even been coded in Target's system yet? I guess what I'm trying to get to is: be patient, it's still early, we'll see them soon.

Matter of fact, one Target had 2, the other had 1.
More telling, I didn't see any Earthspark yesterday, which all my local Targets did get a few cases of this month. There are still supply chain issues, but IDR the last time toys for a current TF toon got cleaned out that thoroughly that fast after release, leaving the smattering of last year's Legacy and SS offerings to tell the tale.
Plenty of elbow room for those deluxes, and all the Leo Primes looked ready to stretch out, relax, and enjoy the shelf space as long as possible. I might still get him next sale.

I don't think that's unrealistic for a case, and case assortments go months between. This also isn't as time-bound as movie products. Heck, Lightyear merch has been sitting on shelves for the better part of a year!

Some Targets still haven't done their reset yet. Some have. I don't see pegs for Legacy Anything at most of them. For me it's not about patience. I'm in no hurry. It's about wanting retailers to do better. I've got everything I want already from Legacy Evolution Wave 1 thanks to Amazon except for Scrapbook. If I see him at retail first, sobe it, and I'll cancel my Amazon pre order. If it ships from Amazon first, oh well, Target loses a sale. As for movie lines like Lightyear and Avatar, those are the biggest wastes of money. I don't expect companies to stop making them, but when even kids don't buy the product and it wastes space until it's clearanced out, you think somebody would catch on.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.
