A deluxe G1 Optimus? Will they try to recreate the original G1 figure, in all plastic? Armada Galvatron was a given, and I'm glad to see origin Wheeljack finally show up. I guess Vector Prime will be yet another Scourge retool?

i still have my original two-pack Vector Prime so am super curious about an update! Deluxe Prime and Unicron also have my attention and curiosity. Guess we'll have to see what time brings!
Tbh I wouldnt be opposed to picking up a Deluxe size Prime if hes fancy enough, hopefully its not actually just like, Orion Pax being mislabelabled

^ He may have seen all the "Uni" prefixes next to the descriptions and came to the incorrect conclusion (I'm guess 2024 will Be Legacy Universe).
It's still early in the morning, but I cant fathom a reason why a deluxe Optimus Prime needs to exist in the main Generations line. Unless its simply so Hasbro can say they've released one at every price point (which technically they have already if you go back to 2012).
I mean Voyager seems to be the standard "size" for faction leaders. The more accessories you give them, they can be bumped up to Leader (Basically every Siege Leader),or CC (as in the case of Kingdom Rodimus).
Core (previously Legends) I will concede, exists so that people can have a smaller/more economical representation of popular characters.
With Deluxe though... I mean usually the main kid line (Cyberverse/Earthspark etc...) has that covered.
Personally, I'm excited we are getting "Rock Lords" as the *Weaponizer* gimmick for 2024. Ever since Weaponizers first showed up in 2019, I've got every iteration, selects, and exclusive variant release. I look forward to these new toys most of all, since I have pretty much every TF from the original cast that i want except for those in my wish list.

Rock lords should be dope
Wheeljack being voyager interests me
Vector Prime will be a nice addition to the collection, I can have him chill with Alpha Trion or gigawatt or something
Deluxe g1 Prime is just weird. No need. Hopefully it's cool as **** lol

VERY interested in the Rock Lords, and I wish they'd come with a revival of the fossilizers, as rocks and fossils always go very good together, and I feel like the fossilizers had a lot of potential for expansion.
Intrigued by the decision to make Wheeljack a voyager. I hope that means he'll be able to fit Bumblebee's vehicle mode, although given how wide that was, I doubt it. However, it probably DOES mean he'll be packed with accesories, which is also cool! I'm probably the only one who loves that Bee comes with the energon conductors.
REALLY don't get how the deluxe Prime would work, intrigued by that one. Also, there's no way voyager Vector Prime is as good as the original figure. They'll strip him of all the gimmicks that the figure is built around, like they did with Armada Megatron. But, unlike Megatron, he isn't a brick, so the added articulation really isn't that much of a selling point. Add to that the lack of minicon and paint budget and hoo boy I can really see a big disappointment coming there.

Part of me thinks Vector Prime and Cybertron Starscream (also rumored for next year in the voyager class) may share a mold. I really hope not, but I could see Hasbro doing it...

Seems the Skids mold is trying to challenge the Datsun repaints! Can they overtake it with a 5th release?
Not to mention Earth Spark at $20. While not all of these releases are the exact same version there is definitely a variety, and it's OP so no matter what he's got to be out and available in some form it seems.
A Voyager Wheeljack is interesting because he is basically the same size/height as Jazz, so it must mean it's far more complicated than jazz's engineering? The only downside is price point because I kind of liked them being DLX bots, being a Voyager may cause me to hit the pause button on WJ because he's simply not a character I like as much as the other two, or others. And while neat, "Origins" aren't a must have in my collection.
I don't know anything about Vector Prime so I'll likely not purchase him, I am curious to see what a modern version looks like as there have been very few of this particular Bot and it's been a while.

I bet a voyager Jazz would be the same size as Jazz, but only in bot mode. The "voyager" part will be in the form of a shitload of panels that will unfold into a much larger vehicle mode that can store Origin Bee in the back.

This is for Buzzworthy Bumblebee, as Origins Bumblebee and Jazz were.
Yep, and probably a retool of Jazz, but we'll see.

He's a Voyager.
Doesn't really mean anything these days, could just mean they included a bunch of extras or the boxy shell requires more panels than Jazz to get them all folded away. I mean just look at SS86 Ironhide, he's a Voyager yet he's shorter than the WFC Deluxe figures thanks to his parts.
Deluxe Optimus Prime probably is just an attempt to get an Optimus at a lower price point for kids. They do it all the time for the kid lines like Earthspark, Cyberverse and the like so it makes sense that they'd do one. But I do really hope it's a typo or something, there's been a few of those lately.

Doesnt mean much, he could be the size of bee with some more energon rods or if they wanted to go crazy (Aka give a reasonable toy for the price they charge XD) make him deluxe sized like Siege Ratchet/Ironhide and give him a titan master bumble bee to sit in the back of him.

Generally I agree. However, it would make no sense in my mind for him to be a retool of a deluxe that somehow jumps to Voyager price point. Maybe some shared engineering for the folding, but a retool seems like nothing I can remember as an occurrence to date.

Considering how much they altered the looks of the Prime and TFA figures so far, I can definitely see Vector squared up and Screamer rounded off to meet in the middle as the same mold. Plus, it wouldn't make sense to make Vector Prime and Starscream from the same mold. Their transformation schemes are too different.
People were saying that G2 Jhiaxus and Armada Starscream would share a mold, yet they both ended up receiving their own separate molds, all for the better.
Unlike the Prime and Animated designs, Hasbro seems content to let the Unicron Trilogy character designs remain faithful in their appearances.

Yeah, Metroplex is almost just a larger version of the original, right? And to me, Velocitron Override was even curvier than the original.Sabrblade wrote:Except, Cybertron Override wasn't changed in her appearance, and she had plenty of curves and rounded surfaces. I didn't think so either, I was just going with the suggestion, because it's not impossible.Plus, it wouldn't make sense to make Vector Prime and Starscream from the same mold. Their transformation schemes are too different.
I think that was just out of prejudice due to their previous releases sharing a deluxe mold.People were saying that G2 Jhiaxus and Armada Starscream would share a mold, yet they both ended up receiving their own separate molds, all for the better.
It would seem so. We'll see how lazy the design team gets the further into the line we go.Unlike the Prime and Animated designs, Hasbro seems content to let the Unicron Trilogy character designs remain faithful in their appearances.

Even though there was an attempt in Siege, I wonder if they'll make a Cybertron Optimus in Legacy? I predict a Commander if they want to remain faithful. Cybertron Megatron would be a leader for sure.

These names for the Rocks sound pretty cool, will still need to actually see how the figures turn out before I make any decisions.
A Deluxe G1 Optimus is genuinely baffling and has no reason to exist unless it's not that simple? Like if it's the gator OP as a Skullcruncher retool/pretool of a new alligator mold that could be cool, or the Spychanger like Emerje said (but that wasn't G1, right?), but if it is literally just G1 OP but small then I'm actively annoyed that the new mold they had to make for this didn't go towards literally anything else.
Vector Prime is the best thing here, very excited about that (and it 100% confirms that the prior Starscream listing is indeed Cybertron Screamer and not Cyberverse).
Voyager box van Wheeljack does nothing for me, but if they're still committed to doing the G1 pilot guys then where's Sunstorm.
Galvatron is surprising to see being a retail release, that gives me more hope that Megazarak might show up in Selects or as an exclusive or something.

I think GUOP is as good as that Prime is gonna get. My only gripe is the faux wheels on the wings. And Megatron should also stay a voyager. A gigantic racecar was just ridiculous, even if it was fitting for the character.-Kanrabat- wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:It would seem so. Deluxe Prime is odd, though thinking about it, maybe its the inner robot to the SS-86 commander magnus were supposed to be getting.
I was kind of hoping for a large more feature rich and articulated inner Prime for that.
Vector Prime is definitely intriguing. Hopefully bis wings and sword are hard plastic rather than the soft rubber of the original. Don’t know how those have faired after 20 years. Will need to go dig mine out of storage and see. Also, doubt he’ll get Safeguard.
Definitely getting Wheeljack. But I can totally skip Galvatron. I’ll get Megs when he goes on sale.

Thanks for sharing this info!
He looks really good overall.
I’m not a huge fan of the black upper thighs at the waist…. An odd choice to not have those gray, but the middle of the arms are gray…
But definitely looking forward to getting this third main Insecticon.
I’m happy with how Hastak has handled these characters with these releases.

...y'know there was a rumor floating around right before the Shadow Striker pictures showed up that said Bombshell would be a heavy retool of Shrapnel, and I was holding off on copying that to here until things had cooled down from Shadow Striker + new listings, but nevermind I guess. If I hadn't been looking at him with that rumor already in mind, I probably wouldn't have noticed he's a retool.
His helmet/bug head cover is a bit bigger than I would like, but otherwise I'm satisfied with that. Glad to see he's purple.

I just got Legacy Core Nemesis Prime and oh boy... Poor guy had the neck peg so loose, it cause problems when transforming. That mold have a problem when transforming the head because you normally need a tool to pull it out of the chest. That's a bad design. But add the loose neck peg and the thing was almost impossible to deal with. I tried fixing the peg by making it larger but it just broke.
So instead of returning Nemesis to Amazon, I fixed his neck by replacing the peg with a screw. I had to dremel the remains of the peg, drill a hole in the head, screw it on, then paint the neck area a bit to hide the gray and the screw inside the hollow head. It now work perfectly appart the fact that I still need a tool to pull out the head from the chest cavity.

Optimus for reference (He's fine, luckily):

Nemesis's fix:

While I was at it, might as well fix his almost invisible
with a Reprolabel.

So what you're saying is that your Nemesis Prime is now a metalhead.
