Shame there aren't any Legacy Leaders I need right now. They've restocked TM2 Megatron and Skyquake currently. If this price is still active when Leader Buzzsaw comes out I'll definitely be getting him if I see him.

Was looking at one on aliexpress? Or is that a no go?
Sadly, it isn't just hearsay.Till-all-R1 wrote:I heard from someone yesterday that apparently Core Class is ending, can anyone confirm this?
If so then that means cassettes will be tougher to get always having to be included in a Voyager or Leader than many of us have already had to buy twice before.

They plan to re-release him?
Anyway, Legacy Dreadwing hasn't been KO'd yet so if you see it on sale at Ali, it's legit. I just saw a listing and it's normal price plus free shipping. Also, no taxes and so far, I never got any custom fees from Ali.
So yeah, just buy it now from there. It will also be ironically cheaper overall. For now at least.

Till-all-R1 wrote:I wonder what the issue was exactly, I said from the start it didn't seem like a great idea but was told there's a strong demand for affordable versions of the main characters. And why we have several price points for them. Without Core how would we have gotten "good" versions of Wheelie, Rumble etc. without having them packed with potential larger bots? Or possibly with ones we may not even want. My guess is they couldn't sell enough reuse in that line to cover the costs of newer molds. They have been stacking up in my area, and mostly from ROTB releases.
And I'm still content with the TF: Legends Wheelie from Takara.chuckdawg1999 wrote:Till-all-R1 wrote:I wonder what the issue was exactly, I said from the start it didn't seem like a great idea but was told there's a strong demand for affordable versions of the main characters. There's no doubt in my mind that we'll see another Wheelie that is deluxe and in scale with all the other minibots.

Yep. Given a much better deco than the Hasbro version.chuckdawg1999 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:And I'm still content with the TF: Legends Wheelie from Takara.chuckdawg1999 wrote:Till-all-R1 wrote:I wonder what the issue was exactly, I said from the start it didn't seem like a great idea but was told there's a strong demand for affordable versions of the main characters. The Titans Return mold?

The Titans Return mold?
And with Hasbro upping all the Mini-Bots to Deluxe size, this mold isn't nearly as tiny as the SS86 Core class Wheelie.
I never got the Hasbro version, so my only experience is with the Takara one, which I'll admit is a bit fiddly to transform but mine does hold together in vehicle mode once I manage to finagle everything into its proper place.chuckdawg1999 wrote:I wanted to like that mold more than I did, but my copy just couldn't hold together in vehicle mode.

As Rattrap once said, "Tricky but doable."

Hasbro did do their own version, in the Titans Return line.Till-all-R1 wrote:That one does look nice, too expensive for me on secondary market but if Hasbro could pull of something similar I'd buy it.

That's actually the main reason I bought that Wheelie.Emerje wrote:Sabrblade wrote:And I'm still content with the TF: Legends Wheelie from Takara.
Same, it would take a lot for Hasbro to do better than that figure, the Core certainly didn't.
He's also essential if you got the Legends God Ginrai box set since Wheelie comes with Shuta while God Ginrai comes with Ginrai, Minerva and Cab.
